Anyone know if its a scale, is it a set amount or can companies pay what they want?

Comments

  • think companies can pay what they want
  • Blimey, that was quick AFKA
  • Why DA you get that job?
  • it is up to companies / goverment departments etc. to pay what, if anything, they think they need to to attract the right people to work in London. For example, for teachers it is about 3 grand.

In my job they you get a higher pay scale for being in London plus London weighting.
  • Some get F -all.
  • like me
  • some work for a borough that advertises the fact it is an inner london borough, whose schools used to be 'ILEA', and who receive inner london allowance from central gov't. yet pay their staff the outer london allowance.

    not mentioning any (greenwich) names.
