SInce AFKA and Lookie have nothing better to do over the summer maybe they could scan old copies of VOTV and Goodbye Horse and put then up in the Articles sections.

Would be interesting (well some of it) and an important archive of an era of rapid change and development.
  • Henry made it up ;-)

Well I was in a pub with Large Addick and some other person who I won't name who wanted to start a new fanzine. He was going to call it "13-12 to the Londoners" but I said "Goodbye Horse" would be easier to remember and shout on street corner when selling.

Oh, you meant the chant : - )
  • Brighton, definitely
  • And I wrote the first ever pub guide for VOTV
  • Now i remember it as at QPR in a nite game ?
  • No, Brighton for definite.

Remember one midweek at QPR when the hat had some bloke flying over a bonnet when they attacked us in the Springbok

Was that the one in the 80's under the bridge we were walking to the statuion under teh bridge then they showed there faces and got run and i remember 2 police horses and im sure one went over??????????????????
  • Early 80's in the park over the road from the Goldstone.
  • ok that could be it was young and very very drunk
  • I remember a ruck outside Craven Cottage when a horse went down....served the bugger right as he was swinging his baton and taking out anyone in the vicinity
  • I first heard it at Luton away in the 70's on the way either to or from the train station, when an OB fell off his horse.
  • Update - Roy King is running a property maintainance company now.
  • Im sure it was ages back and it was anite game in London thought it was QPR.
  • Steve Dixon Plays Centre Half for Metrogas Vets On Sundays, not a bad player as well.
