People who leave out the word to.....either written or spoken. i.e.......Are you going Fleetwood......or He’s gone Fleetwood. Very lazy and shabby if you ask me!😤😠🤔
Five horses were killed on British racecourses over the weekend. Three of those fatalities occurred at Ascot on Saturday. February's death toll rises to fourteen.

Agree, it’s the first step on the road wrack and ruin
Dont let it annoy you that the starting 11 doesnt excite me chaps. It's simply a pre match opinion. Fingers crossed at the end of the game they have proved many of us wrong 🤞
I paid off best part of a mortgage in rent before fortunately getting my own place. Market rent higher than my mortgage.
Crazy situation.
When my wife worked at the bank it used to annoy her having to turn down people for a mortgage because “ the computer says no “ when they were already managing to pay monthly rent at a much higher rate than the cost of a potential mortgage...
If you read the article, it makes some sense. What they need to make sure of is they run sufficient trains for demand - which seems to be the aim, but... The trouble is they need to keep making big profits from the commuters and government subsidies.
The British Horseracing Authority tweeted on Friday evening about British racing's "excellent safety record". The tweet, which did not mention fatalities, was issued after fifteen racehorses had died on British courses this month and was in response to criticism from animal advocates.
The talking heads on Channel 5 Saturday night "Kiss a Royal Arse Programme" pontificating about the Royal Family. How they are all good sports, and have there finger on the pulse. When in fact they are just self entitled spoilt lazy, pains in the backside.
Previous attempts have been subject to vile abuse and, when I was not deterred, censorship (i.e. threads being 'sunk', so that they disappear from view).

got a bird (the feathered kind) nearby who has a bird call/tweet which is the same notes to the opening lines of "I'm a barbie Girl". Every time i go outside and hear it i end up singing to myself the next line "in the barbie world, life is plastic, its fantastic"
Goes beyond annoying but the fact that in the past five days five of my colleagues, two I consider good mates, being assaulted for just doing their jobs. Equally ‘annoying’ is the fact that after police investigations it will no doubt be deemed ‘not in the public interest’ to take further action. Boils my piss.

Sorry to hear this and feel for you and your colleagues. I work in forensic psychiatry, so a relatively similar field. Personally I feel that every incident of assault in such environments is very much in the public interest to prosecute as it creates a recorded history that can help in evaluating future risk.
I hope no one is too badly hurt or emotionally traumatised and that your team reoceives decent psychological support. It’s a horrible feeling going to work in an environment where you are under risk of serious assault. I really hope the situation settles down soon for you all.

Thank you @Gary Poole. No serious injuries have been received, bruised jaws, a couple of black eyes and scratches and bruises though that’s not really the point. We’re not there to be someone else’s punch bag nor should anyone have to enter a workplace concerned that today’s the day it’s their ‘turn’ to have someone’s frustration taken out on them. Sadly it’s something we know is a possibility from the moment we sign up due to who we’re employed to look after. It doesn’t hurt us any less when it does happen though. It’s especially galling when the cause is a minor thing. One of the incidents was the result of a prisoner simply being asked to move his TV from one place in his cell to another. There will be aftercare for the victims of these assaults and I’m sure governors will be making personal phone calls to check on them but I also know from years of experience that those phone calls will soon be replaced by ones asking them when they’ll be ready to return to work.
I’m hoping that this cluster of separate incidents is just a blip but fear that the effects of nearly a year of lockdown due to Covid is starting to take its toll on the minds of individuals who have reached the end of their patience and we’ll see more of these assaults in the coming weeks and months. However I also have faith that myself and my fellow officers will continue to deal with what’s thrown at us in a completely professional manner. It’s who we are and it’s what we do.
I hope the Police/CPS treat any accidents where prisoners slip over clumsily and get the mothers beaten out of them in a CCTV blackspot with equal lightness.

One game at a time chaps, can't criticise what hasn't happened yet.
Its bloody depressing though and drags you down
As I like to think, if people want to be miserable then be miserable on your own, no need to drag others down!!

So you're 30 then. Just say that.

Another fatality occurred today.
Horses - victims
Punters at risk of addiction - victims.
Bookies - winners.
doing my fucking head in.
Chelsea player sent off.
On more than one occasion Jules Warren and Sue Smith on Sky refer to Chelsea being reduced to 10 ‘players’.
Why on earth are they not reduced to 10 women akin to a team in a man’s game being reduced to 10 men?
