Having seen Peter Garland mentioned in the best Charlton team thread and Ralph Milne in the worst, it got me thinking about the fattest Charlton team could put together.

Can this one be bettered (3-5-2 because I can't think of another defender)

    Wasn't John Pender a bit of a porker?

    Also met Peter Garland in a Chinese take-away in Blackfen once, with the biggest bag of food ever.

    This would not have been that alarming, except it was eleven o'clock on a Sunday night and he had been drinking in the Woodman since lunchtime.

    This may go some way to explaning his impressive physique.

    I was struggling with the defenders so in Brownie and Costa picked a couple of, let's say 'well-built' guys. Yes, it was a bit harsh!
