First Game of Season?

Does anyone know when the season starts? Want to book Innocent festival on 3rd August but obviously cannot go if it may be the first game of the new season

    It was the 11th last year so it will be the 9th or 16th - either way you can go to the festival!

    I'm 99% sure that our season starts on the 9th (or 8th if there's a friday night game), the community shield is the 10th, and the premiership season starts on the 16th.

    I thought this was going to be a thread organising a sweep for what will be the first game of the season.

    Actually, that's not a bad idea .................

    Anyone with more time on their hands (i.e. "less important!") than me want to organise something?

    Funnily enough I have just found a website worse than the OS for updating, The Football League website is still in early April! Under the fixtures tab it carries games for April and it's main news story is about how the playoffs work!

    The Championship starts Saturday 9th August, definitely.
