Season-ticket deadline extended
A backlog of renewal forms at the Valley commercial centre has prompted Charlton to extend the deadline for supporters to renew their seats for a further week.
Existing season-ticket holders had until the end of this week - Saturday, May 31st - to secure their current seat in SE7 for the 2008/09 campaign.
But the club announced on Thursday that high demand for season tickets, prompted in part by the extension of the free season-ticket offer should the Addicks gain promotion to the top flight for 2009/10, means that fans will have an extra seven days in which to return their form and retain their usual seat.
Charlton chief executive Steve Waggott said: "Staff are currently very busy dealing with all of the renewal forms that have been sent in.
"We think it will take us about another week to process all of the application forms, so it makes sense to extend the deadline and ensure that no one misses out."
Fans now have until Friday, June 6th, to renew their existing season-ticket seats, after which they may be sold to other applicants.
