How sad am I

edited May 2008 in General Charlton
Bit of Grandad/Grandson (he's 16 months old) bonding at the weekend. He was sitting on my lap, just the two of us, and I was looking at the pictures with him in his animal book. Turned the page to a picture of a goldfish. Without even realising what I was saying, I've gone Feeeeeeeeesh! to him. I was quite glad it was only me and him in the room at the time!

  • LOL. That's what football's all about. Indoctrinate them early into the traditions of the club. In fact, good on you for doing it so early. By the time he's realised, it'll be too late: hooked!
  • ha ha thats good
  • you're not on your own, i found myself reeling off 'valley floyd road' to my 2 month son yesterday and thought sorry son you're in for a lifetime of pain and stress following charlton and i doubt you'll see 7 consecutive years of top flight football even if you live to be a 100..... i'll remind him of the good old days and how it wasn't appreciated by all

Hooked - Like a feeeeesh - oh I'm doing it again!

Actually his dad is a Spurs fan, but Freddie already has more Charlton gear than I have! (courtesty of yours truly) - Thankfully his mum likes him in red!
  • Cant say Im a fan of the Feeeeesh thing, but Kay and I was walking around Domayne (Furniture store) and both of us looked at a bookcase and in unison said Feeeeesh......a great big goldfish ornament was sitting on the shelf.....had to be purchased didnt it.....

Then when I opened my birthday card at the weekend....you guessed it......I got a Feeeesh birthday card!
  • i might get northstandsteve a feeeeessshhhh birthday card for his 50th next year
  • I was down the pub on Friday and my friend was telling me about his trip to the Valley on the last day of then season. He'd escorted his son on a school trip and the whole class of 9 year olds thought the Feeesh on the big screen was highly amusing. When they went back to school on Monday the whole class en masse started shouting 'FEEEEESSH' when the teacher asked how the day went. Asked if they want to go again next season it was a resounding YEEEESSSS
  • you should teach him

YOU CAN STICK YOUR FECKIN GOLDFISH UP YOUR AR**
