Shelvey & the youth generally

edited April 2008 in General Charlton
At the start of this season the next big things were Arter and Josh Wright. Now, they appear to have disappeared off the radar screen and all we hear about is Jonjo (sounds more like a jockey than a footballer, but still). What has happened to the older prospects? I know Arter is injured, but what about Wright?

Comments

  • Wright is at Barnet completing a loan spell till the end of the season.
  • and Arter has been injured for quite a bit of this season. Rob Elliot calls him "chocolate legs" according to facebook.

Our other young prospect went to Colchester last year and done pretty well.
  • Josh Wright has been at Barnet for most of this season and been of there best players all season. This lad has a big future at this club and I see him pushing for a first team place next season.
  • recall him and play him - barnet got eff all to play for
  • Dean Sinclair was Barnet's best player last season as well, doesnt mean they make it at Charlton...

Nothing like playing in the 4th Division to toughen you up.
    Namby Pamby's don't last long there. ;o)
  • Brother's mate is a big Barnet fan, and says that Wright would not look out of place in the Championship.

Leave him at Barnet for the rest of his loan.

He's happy there, he's playing well and growing in confidence.
Best place for him to be at the mo.

Plenty of time pre-season to re-establish himself at Charlton.
