Cracking day yesterday

edited April 2008 in General Charlton
Early doors meet at a fine old boozer in Lancaster Gate, a few ales and some banter, bottle for the journey, another fine pub in Notting Hill on the way back, game of spoof on the tube to Chancery Lane with the winner getting a free "Tina" paid for by the other chaps, then last stop the Griffin followed by a black cab home.

A brilliant day spoilt only by a terrible limp, souless, gutless and quite frankly embarrassing display by our lot on the park. This goes completely against the grain, but I was almost willing QPR to score again to give me the excuse to leave - in the first half! Jesus, I just want this over with now - I don't enjoy watching Charlton one little bit these days. Bring on the summer.

  • Actually, maybe need to qualify that a bit. Just checked my bank account and see that I withdrew 150 sheets yesterday - and that's despite the fact that I had 50 on me when I left home and picked up another 80 in ticket money I was owed. Now I remember why I don't do away games much any more - too bleedin expensive!!!
  • How the hell do you do £280 on an away day, presuming that you didn't even include the price of a ticket in that..
  • I wish I knew Stanmore. Think I must've been mugged!
  • All the Charlton fans were.. :-(
  • LOL. Had a great day out too, spoiled only by that pathetic performance on the pitch. I don't remember the last time I felt that embarrassed by a Charlton "performance". We were simply stunning at Blackpool by comparison. Roll on the summer!!
