Seeing that my grandad has just recovered from a hip replacement and can be signed on a free from the QE hospital, I suggest we add him to our list of second rate signings (sorry grandad).
we'll win these last 2 games easily as there's nothing to play for. just like when we went to anfield last season after we were relegated and got a draw
I will get slaughtered for this but I think we ought to bear in mind that both Barnsley and Coventry are relegation candidates and in the interest of fair play we should therefore field our best team. Which is ?
I'd go 4-5-1/4-3-3/4-1-4-1 or whatever else it's called this week and 4-4-2 at home to Coventry.
I also believe that playing loan players is pointless at this stage, ZZ is injured and Pards will only start one of the youngsters (Shelvey gets his debut at home the week after). The midfield is a bit lightweight, but that's nothing new..

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
By the time we play Coventry they may well be safe. They did put 5 past Colchester but then again everyone's beaten them this season... D'oh!
Just play Gibbs at full back and Monty alongside Magic.
Subs: Randolph, Holland, McCarthy, Iwelumo, Thomas
If Racon wasn't on loan to Brighton, I'd have him in the side and Thomas is only there, as a couple of half decent cameos may tempt some Prem or Championship mug of manager out there. He has become king of the step over and no more unfortnately and I'm really hoping he has some value left, so that we can re-invest next season.
Ambrose was always a centre midfielder ("the creative one" of a traditional tackler, creative partnership) and I think we'd get so much more out of him if he were to bed in there. Keep Zheng sweet. He is off the boil (they all are), but if he stays and comes back fighting after the break, a quality midfielder in this division.
Holland has given his all for us whilst he has been here and I can't say a bad word, but will offer up a realistic appraisal, which is that he can't be expected to play so many games in this division at 34 and be a success, particularly in a role that doesn't seem to have been defined all season for him. Does anyone know how he is being asked to play, i.e. protect the back 4, box to box, attacking mid, sideways/backward passing? After a full season and having season over half the games, I still have no idea.

Just a shame Yassin is suspended.
Yes, very important that we have 5 defenders starting in a game which is now entirely irrelevant.

Bougherra
Fortune
Basey
Thomas
Holland

Sam
Varney
Iwelumo

No way Thomas should be allowed to sully a Charlton shirt again
As long as Cory is playing against Covenrty
Also Sir Chris
But certainly play Basey/Shelvey and wagstaff. We all know what Thatcher can do and so lets have another look at Basey or youga.
Great to see pards playing the kids today........NOT.
now we can't get into the top 6 perhaps he should send Halford , Cook & Lita back and try playing someone who might actually be withus in August.
I'm taking my boots to Oakwell anyway.
We may be slightly at a disadvantage for pace.
