'83 QPR 5 Charlton 1 (Terry Venables' league topping Rangers) Remember clearly "We've come all this way, and we've lost, and we've lost" and "five one down, we're only five one down" being sung loudly and consistantly (well once it was 5-1 anyway). Totally outsinging the QPR fans, and some Rangers actually joining in. That was the spirit! I lived a few hundred yards from Loftus Rd and was a regular there. Mixed loyalties for this game, back then, before I was converted.
I remember late 90's (possibly around 96/97) playing QPR at The Valley, I have no memory of the game but think we won! (it was when I still drank!).
Two of my good friends at that time were QPR fans, they bet me £25 each (quite a lot to me then!) I wouldn't go into the antigallican wearing a Charlton shirt.
Always brave when you are young, I entered a very packed pub to within about 15 seconds the whole pub erupting in 'who are ya, who are ya', started to wonder if it was a wise decision for £50, but to be fair I found my mates and everyone was really nice and bought me drinks, hence no memory of the match!

Haha, was looking to see if anyone remembered this one. My girlfriend now wife, accompanied me, though not a great fan of football. I still vaguely remember the faces of the QPR supporters, somewhat bemused why we were not down heartened and singing like we were winning! She found it pretty amusing by our supporters reactions. This made a losing night easy to accept and entertaining.
