At the risk of getting slated for Pardew bashing (see my considered opinion on the 'Management' thread), surely it is a concern that we have generally been unable to learn from experience in this league? I've done a quick check of our results comparing the first and second time we have played against the same opposition - and it is not a pretty picture:
Got better four times:
Lost/ Drawn v WBA
Lost/ Won v Stoke, Plymouth, Sheff U
Stayed same five times:
Lost/ Lost v Wolves, Burnley
Drawn/ Drawn v Watford
Won/ Won v Palace (hollow cheering), Cardiff
Got worse eleven times:
Drawn/ Lost v Scunthorpe, Colchester
Won/ Drawn v Sheff Weds, Norwich, and Leicester, Hull, Southampton, Bristol City
Won/ Lost v Preston, Ipswich, Blackpool

That should read LOST Weegie
but apart from that piece of pedantry I agree.
Take for instance when we take a corner.the ball get's sent in to the box at the perfect height for the oppo keeper to gather.Next corner.Guesss what? deja vu.
Are we stoopid or something!
And also we won't have to play Scunthorpe and Col U next season...I'm sure we'll do better against Swansea and Carlisle/ Doncaster/ Leeds
Do you mean that or is that sarcastically? I'd say the teams coming up are better than the teams going down.
