72 points

edited April 2008 in General Charlton
Pards has set a target of 72 points (which would be 4 wins out of 4) to get into the play-offs.

No team has managed this since 96/97 - since then the sixth-placed team has always had more than that.

Getting into the play-offs looks like it could be a really tall order, then.

What does everyone think?

if we won them all then I reckon we'd sneak it, however I can't see us winning them all...

Everyone in the top 6 i would have thought are a lot of points below what the "average" has been for the past 10 years.

Weird league this year, but i am confident that if we win all four we will be there.

I'm not so confident about actually winning all four!

Exactly WSS - You cannot compare this year to any others - if we win all 4 then Wolves will have to win 4 as well to better us. I can't see either team winning 4 to be honest

looking at the fixtures I reckon there is more chance of us winning four than Wolves winning four.

And some of them have to play each other so they can't all get maximum points.

Palace's 4 games include: away to Hull & away to Watford.
Wolves & Ipswich both have tough run ins including versus top 6 fixtures..

With that in mind, it's still in our own hands.
Providing we do our bit - there's not too much margin for error.

Got to keep going, Steve, it's a 90 minute game.

You just never know how the dice will tumble, so no point giving up.
    No prizes for defeatists. ;o)
