  • interesting as our rivals all play at least one game against one another or the top two. Hopefully they all draw those games and we sneak it
  • all our remaining games are winnable, and we're just hitting form at the right time. (ahem)
  • It wouldn't surprise me if Wolves took nothing from their next two games, but equally this league is so unpredictable that they could win them both and that would be pretty much it.

If - and it is obviously a big 'if' - we were to make the play-offs, then I'd actually be quite hopeful about our chances as we'd be going in as the form team.

All we can really hope for at the moment is that we can go into the Coventry game on 4 May with a chance of sneaking sixth.
  • Wolves fixtures are unbelievable as are Ipswich's. After seeing that I'm more hopeful we can still do it.

4 of Wolves games are at home.

I think that will prevent us quite doing enough :-(
  • Off-it I suppose winning one match is hitting form of some kind eh ;o)
  • Looking at the fixtures every team except us are playing other teams looking to get into the play-offs or promotion.
I can see there still being a lot of twists and turns before this season is over.
All we can do is win our games and see were that takes us.

    Come on you addicks.
  • Win em all and we have a real chance. However i have not seen anything this season that makes me think we can.

  • we play 3 teams fighting for their lives thats tricky as well.
  • Basically we cannot afford any more 'Slip Up's' think Smudge said before Saturday that Plymouth was our Final Must win last chance game, think the next four are ALL the same don't think 9 or 10 points will be enough, all are now must win plain & simple.
  • We can only get a max of 72 points, last season that only got 8th or 9th. I know points are more spread out this season but 72 would seem a big ask & still debatable whether we could sneak a play-off play. The 2 points we gifted Wolves may be so so costly.
  • Don't think you can compare with other years. I personally think 72 will be just enough. Everything depends on what Wolves do with those 2 games in hand.
  • i aint even worrying any more if it happens it happens my soul has been broken role on next season

Watford losing at home to Barnsley, and Ipswich and Cardiff drawing was probably the best we could hope for tonight.

Did you p*ssed off with it when you got to Sheff Yoo.
  • i'm too quick for you Soton !!
  • It's strange. Apart from WBA and possibly Hull and Ipswich, the goal differences for the rest are pretty crap. How can you be top of the table with four games to go and have a zero goal difference like Brizzel were. Just shows this is a very weird league.
  • its even more annoying coming to terms with the fact we haven't walked this league, with our squad we should already have our medals round our neck.

  • as SA says goal difference of zero for bristol city is crap for a team joint top, the league maybe close but the standard is poor IMO.....
we should be top two even if we'd only underperformed slightly
but we could still make the play offs , with a miracle run of results of course
next season automatic promotion and the playoffs will require 5-10 points more than this season at least, i think we're gonna miss a golden opportunity this year;-(

I think Watford should now be included in the race for 6th spot. Not sure who else they have to play but they have us and westbrom in there next two matches. Palace, Wolves, Ipswich and Charlton are all very capable of getting in the play-offs and it would not suprise me if two from that four make it at the expense of Watford.

Having said that Hull also have a very tough finish.
  • I've added Watford's fixtures to the top.
  • "race" dont much look like a race as much as a huge stumble into it by one of 6 sides.
