Oggy

edited April 2008 in General Charlton
After having not seen us lose in his 7/8 games this season including today, surely the most important question of the run in is.....

"how are we going to get Oggy to every game from now on?"

    i'll chip in!
  • I can just imagine him telling everyone within ear shot when Weaver was sent off to keep the faith and that we'd still win!
  • Yeah I could imagine what he was thinking after three minutes, then after they went a goal up.

    Enjoy Monday morning Oggy...
  • He better be the first bugger to put a match report up !!

    no excuses

I'm sure it'll also be posted on the staff noticeboard where he works.
  • As I said on the other thread - all those that had blind faith and made their way down to Plymouth today deserved to see a ballsy performance. They got it and more - enjoy the scrumpy lads.

    Cheers Oggy.
  • Yep, well done to everyone who made the trip.
  • I wish Id got Oggy to pick my Grand National horse.;)

Hi AFKA & all you luvverly peeps on here. We did it! And put all those 'we'll stuff' you Greenies in their place.
I'm just back home now via GF's place, sort of ......... and my head still hurts and yesterday just seems blurry.

God, I didn't know I could still drink so much and celebrate for so long ........ it must have been those Sambucca shots with ISawLeaburnScore & Charlton friends in 'Walkabouts', Union Street.

    Cheers, ISaw - you're a top bloke!

Match report? We didn't half play well in the 2nd half, the team really played for each other and even with 10 men and only 3 in midfield, the spirit and effort was immense.

And I didn't hear one miserable whingeing boo from any redshirted Addick in our crowd.
Great to hear Valley Floyd Road so loud and, at the end, see all the players come over to the supporters in mutual celebration, just like Southampton & Brristol City away.

    Special mention: Rob Elliott.
Charlton supporter & Charlton goalkeeper - a dream come true to make your League debut for the club you've supported since a small boy.

Plunged into the deepend after just 3 minutes and perhaps after an understandably nervous start, he settled well and managed to get himself booked on his debut.

And that injury time save was stunning!

    Be proud, Rob Elliott.
WE are - you're one of us!
  • elliot proper charlton, forget that les reed rubbish, elliot like gordon watson before him is one of us! hail elliot.
  • Well I hope the fans at the Valley cut him some slack. Seems that nobody in a Charlton shirt is allowed even a slightly iffy game these days.
  • hope so,turning on a charlton fan ,dont get any worse.hes only 21

    I'm open to ideas, folks ........ ;o)

Was nice to meet you Oggy mate! Not sure who's idea those bleedin shots were!

We never made it out again in the end, far too hammered, passed out!

  • Glad to hear you got back okay, ISaw - God only knows how you managed to drive this morning ......

Great to meet Colin Powell's Mower from the Babes board - deffo a bad influence LOL
    My head this morning..........

Managed to meet up with my GF in the Rising Sun in Kingsand just before closing, so was spared the b*llocking of a lifetime for 'ruining' her day. She tells me she's never seen me so happy - and that I was giving it large to Greenies
in the pub there. I remember nothing ...... :o)

If you come back down here in the summer - don't forget Maker Sunshine Festival, 31st July - 2nd August.
Cool little festy, overlooking the sea.

Driving was a miracle as well today, after falling asleep fully clothed in going out gear in my shirt, jeans and shoes... killed by whiskey and shots on top of all those beers!

Stayed a bit into the afternoon to get some alcohol out of my system wolfing down a full english and made it home 1-7 through red bull and matchsticks largely

Good on you giving it large to them, their chavs were a right laugh!

Living in Sheffield i know what it's like being an exile, keep up the occasional foray's to CAFC mate!
  • BUMP .....Just to show that Argyle is a ground where we turn in a decent performance.

And I've still kept my unbeaten run going ........ more than 20 matches now! *Big grin*
