From he Plymouth Herald:
Plymouth Argyle are still not sure whether star midfielder Peter Halmosi will be fit for their crunch Championship clash against Charlton Athletic at Home Park on Saturday.
Paul Sturrock's Pilgrims will be desperate to beat Charlton to keep alive their play-off chances after losing three of their last five matches.
And the presence of Halmosi, who is trying to overcome a knee injury, would be a massive boost for them.
Halmosi was hurt in the 1-1 draw against Watford at Home Park on March 22.
The 28-year-old was carried off after injuring his left knee in a tackle on Watford's Mat Sadler, which also led to him being shown a red card for a second bookable offence.
Halmosi was suspended for Argyle's 3-1 defeat at Coventry City on Saturday, but would not have been fit enough to play anyway.
However, there is a chance the Hungarian international could recover in time to face Charlton, who also need a win to stay in play-off contention.
Argyle physio Paul Maxwell told Herald Sport: "Peter did some running with me yesterday and I will build him up through the week and see how he gets on.
"It's too soon to say really whether he will be fit for Saturday."
Halmosi had his injured left knee scanned last Tuesday, and he also saw surgeon Patrick Loxdale.
The talented midfielder, who has been The Herald's Argyle player-of-the-month award winner three times this season, then travelled to Hungary, where he had his knee assessed by the national team doctor, before returning to Home Park yesterday.
Maxwell said: "The injury doesn't look as serious as it was first feared.
"There is a lot of old stuff in the knee which Peter has had for a long time and isn't really a concern.
"There is some new stuff in there as well but, hopefully, he might get away with that."
Argyle are also hoping striker Rory Fallon will be fit to face Charlton on Saturday.
He suffered an ankle ligament injury against Watford and sat out the defeat by Coventry.

Meanwhile, Argyle will introduce a supporters' exclusion zone around the away dug-out for the first time on Saturday.
They have taken the action following some ugly scenes during the draw with Watford.
Two Argyle fans have been banned indefinitely by the club for allegedly making racist remarks towards Watford players and staff.
But many home supporters thought the antics of Watford kit man Bob Oteng led to the disturbances.
Oteng was seen throwing water over Halmosi when the midfielder was laying injured on the pitch, close to the away dug-out.
Footage on ITV1's 'The Championship' the next day showed Halmosi being sprayed - but not the culprit.
Argyle substitute Lilian Nalis, who had been warming up nearby, had no doubts though as he immediately remonstrated with Oteng.
As a result of the disturbances in the Mayflower Enclosure, Argyle wrote to the Football Association to inform them of their intention to implement the supporters' exclusion zone.
However, they have also drawn the attention of the FA to the behaviour of some of the players and staff on the Watford bench.
Argyle chief executive Michael Dunford said: "We have given them a full report on the incident that led to the disturbances within the crowd and we have told them what steps we have taken.
"We are not condoning the actions of our two supporters, but we have made the point very forcibly to the FA that the behaviour of some individuals on the Watford bench fell below the standard which is acceptable.
"The FA asked for a copy of the match video, which we sent with our report, and they will deal with the matter as they deem appropriate."
The supporters' exclusion zone will only apply to the away dug-out.
Dunford added: "It will be business as normal on Saturday as far as we are concerned. We don't anticipate any problems."
