i have noticed it coming in recent weeks i have been wavering myself but we have to all believe that this will come right if not now then next season and we need to stick with him even though he talks a lot of shite agreed.
mate i am begining to go with the Pards is not as good as we or he thinks he was or is, really battling to keep finding positives but he is grinding us all i think i cant wait for the season to be over and start looking forward to next year dont know if it will be any diffrent but i have tried to convince myself that he was trying to get the balance right now for a cracking run next year, well it beats the hell out of admitting were doomed but i am with you he has failed this season
This is was Pards does. He spent the first two years at West Ham 'winding' them up with the motivational stuff, e.g the t shirt in the Play Offs 'Moore than just a football club'. It was only once they got up and played some good stuff up there was he ever accepeted by the Hammers. His style of management is to remain very positive, which I seem to remember our lot liking when he first came in and he got some results. On the other hand Curbs would have been playing the whole thing down even if we were 20 points clear at this stage. It just comes down to two very different styles.
i am dreading the pre season if he is still here......six weeks, of his latest signing, and what we are going to do next season, think i will cancel my sky and broadband connection now, i need a pardew free summer
i hope he is still here i want him to do so well i really do
i couldnt think of a better man to make us great again or to just lay the foundations its just am loosing faith and need to see what next season brings then i hope we could have the powelly kinsella show and pick the best one to go on to mgmt greatness like the grit and curbs times.
Blimey, people really are trying to read too much into everything.
As for the quote Tel, so what, he's asked a question by a hack, if he answers it by saying, 'I don't care', a few on here will run round screaming blue murder, he says something pretty neutral, and people are running about screaming blue murder.
We have been in the Championship's top 10 all season (after first few games) in a season in which we have integrated over a dozen new players having had to clear out the dross that Dowie bought in and the remaining dead wood that Curbs had amassed in his last two or three years at the Valley. We also had to cut our cloth and lose our natural scorer in Darren Bent and our creative midfielder (when fit) in Andy Reid.
I have enjoyed many more games this season than I did under Dowie, Read (forgive me if spelt wrong, but I've tried to delete that embarassing period from my memory) or Curbs' last seaon or two.
Bottom line is that we do need to get behind our team through thick and thin and we do need to get behind our manager whatever way he spins his pre-mach or post-match interviews. Pardew seems to care, seems to have pride, definitely has more proven talent than Dowie or Read and seems to have a dash of arrogance which tends to rub some people up the wrong way. As long as I continue to be entertained and we have a decent battle towards pomotion again next season (IF we don't do it this year), then I'll be happy.
And finally, I was thinking about some of your comments and relating them to my work and realised that I do have staff that talk a fair bit of sh*t in their working week, over egging their or their team member's performances or trying to comit to achieve something that I know they are not quite ready to deliver yet. Why do I perservere with them and help them to develop? Simply, because I have faith in them and patience to see beyond their shortcomings. I am happy to do the same with Pards for a season or two yet.
I just rewatched the highlights of charlton west brom and and we came off and the now traditional booing came flooding in he looked round the stadium with a look of " pppppffffff thanks" if that makes sense like a bit of a get real look....
then after the match he stated that having lost three to get a draw against strong opposition is good.... which is fair enough....
having been there guys there this year, is it basically we win or we Boo????
I think the booing at the end of the game was more directed at the lino Jon....just the way I saw it. PNE was a different story...that was aimed at the players.

Don't agree, it was aimed at the players, like everytime we haven't won this season
Pardew has dug himself deeper and deeper into this hole and what has compounded the problem Is the money he had as well as this is league is made up of average teams a team more than average in this league would have walked the title
exactly wiwalb... make no mistake this is a poor league and we will not be the top spenders and one of the best supported clubs(ave home gates) in a league this poor again , this was a great chance to go up ..
the 3 teams that get promoted this year will go up on the lowest points total and i reckon the 3 teams points return in the premiership will be the lowest for any group of promoted teams
The booing is a mix of unrealistic expectations from the fans, and frustration that we as a club have underperformed in the last two months with the tools at our disposal.
Booing is awful, rarely achieves anything positive, and i personally hate listening to it.
Whether we reach the play offs or not, its imperative that we finish the season somewhat approaching 'strongly', otherwise we will be going into the close season with a growing percentage against the manager, and the liklihood of much lower season ticket sales for next year.
i think unless we get promoted, smudge our season ticket levels will drop hugely due to the dross served up at home this year.Away from home we have been ok,at home we have been cack.
"Prior to the Preston game, we had been searching for a team capable of winning automatic promotion. In doing so i muddled with the team and have now put our play off position in jeopardy for which i take full responsibilty"

Completely agree, AFKA, as if we don't it will also become increasingly difficult to attract players of the right calibre for next season too.(That's if Pards can find them in the first place on You Tube...)

The Addicks chief told News Shopper: "Any support we receive is greatly appreciated.
"It boosts players' morale as they respond to positive affirmations from family, friends and fans alike.
"The flags go around the stands as the players come out and they are always met by a positive atmosphere which spurs them on.
"I am a big fan of the drummer as well because I feel he's important to the matchday vibe and always sends out a positive signal.
"He has been able to stimulate the crowd which leads to a good feeling at the club."
And Mr P.....isnt that what you are employed to do?
role on next year

what ever little lov for us he did hold.... there was something in his eyes..... hence the nothing but cliche talk in the press....
I have a feeling hes gone...
Dont you just hate working with West Ham fans telling you they told you so.

The situation dictates though that they are forced to repeat the offer from last year.

A rare admission of responsibilty from Pard's.
