  • I recognise the keeper and the bloke 2nd from the left on the top row, that's gotta be at least 15 years old
  • what about the geezer with the ball,i'm sure he is one of our very own !!

We stopped using the Woolwich kit ca 1989/1990, maybe a year later? But we definitely weren't using it in '92 so the pic is likely to be nearer 20 years old.
  • the guy bottom left is about to jump about 100ft into the air it looks like!
  • I remember wearing that kit in the early 90's, but apart from Chris and maybe James Webb, I don't recognise anyone in that pic
  • Used to love junior reds, down the waterfront in the morning, bit of swimming, play some football, then off to the valley, good times.
  • The old £10 day out coaches run by Ian Marsh were the highlight, get on the coach, travel up to some northern dump, game in the morning, lunch put on by the club, then tickets for the game and a coach home.

All for a tenner, not bad
  • only one in the front row kept his legs together... very wisely so. those shorts are very loose!
  • Ian Marsh, Ian Marsh, Ian Ian Marsh.... he's got no hair but we don't care... Ian Ian Marsh.

Who the other guys that used to help out...Pete Barret and Alan Smith... good guys. Loved those away days. I used to always win the raffle!
  • hehe, I'm trying to remember who you are then Crazy.

Yeah, Pete and Alan, and Alan's missus who used to run the tuck shop on the coaches.

    Proper old days!

  • Think I went on those for about two years.... one of the West brothers. Remember drinking my first bottle of "K" cider on one of those trips... disgusting stuff.
  • Ah, think I remember, you'll remember people like Richard Daly and Stuart Pace?
  • Yup....Daly, Pace, Webb, Kleiman..... Adam (poor guy!!)..... happy days!
  • Now what would be funny.... running an "old" junior reds coach now. all 30 somethings. Ian, Pete, Alan running it... footy in the morning. ha.
  • Adam is still going, and still looking the same old sad sack!

I've passed that pic onto Daly to see if he remembers people
  • Jesus wept, I went to school with four of these guys (Malory).

Keith Marsh (Ian's son), Lee Smith (with the ball), Ian Fagan and Stuart Bristow.

    That is absolutely unreal!!!!
  • Aye Carumba! Thats my brother, back row, 2nd in from the left. Another old mate to his right, & Matt Wyatt 3rd from the right. Blimey! This brings back memories! :-)

I played in a few of the Junior Red teams, but the younger team generally, whereas my older brother played for the 'senior' Junior Reds on away trips. This was mainly across the seasons 88/89 & 89/90.

The kit also looks like the old 'Junior Robins' Kit (A Charlton junior side selected from Junior Reds that started in 1988 to go through the junior leagues, U10,U11,etc & upto the school of excellence - if they were good enough).

I remember the 'Dream Team' partnership of Bob Petty & Ian Marsh organising the Junior Red coaches, also with Jackie Moynihan. We'd take the coach from the old Valley Club.
I remember Adam! :-D He took so much stick! An absolute nerd, but harmless. ;-)

Really good times on those away trips!
