I have just become a Charlton Athletic Shareholder

Not on the same scale as Messrs Chappell and Murray but nevertheless I now intend to have my say in the future direction of the club.

I hear that potholes in the car park are the major issue of the time. Well that and bright orange boots.

Mr Addickted kept telling me there was no chance. But Mr Tel in Oz advised otherwise and yes you simply get in touch with www.jpjenkins.co.uk and provided somebody wants to sell on the same scale (small) you can buy them.

Now for Northern Rock....

yeah i bought a 1000 at the beginning 75p each ...last i looked when we were doing well in the prem they were about 20p so prolly diddly squat now;-(
  • Crissakes,

I completely forgot, I had £500 years ago. No idea where the certificate is now, or what they were worth until now. How many pints of wife-beater would that have got me in 1990 and fuckknowswhen!
  • I paid 37p per share.
  • You would have to buy an awful lot of shares to actually have any influence. Millions.
I thought when i brought mine they were £0.80 each, i dont really give a sh*t how much they are worth now as it was done to give the club cash at the time. No one buys shares in a footie club as an investment.
  • Millwall's shares were down to 1p at one stage. I don't know what they are now.

My colleague has quite a few and got them when thet were issued at 20p per share if memory serves me right.
