Thoughts ahead of tonight.....

How are everyone going into this....

Fearful of another poor result sinking us further ?

Confident of a return to form ?

Happy with a point ?

  • A combination of the first two really for me.

I'm confident that we will have a return to form as we seem to bounce back well this season (shame we just have to do it every other game it seems!) but if we don't get three points, good gracious me, we will have to have some decent results against some good teams in the final eight games.

Its frustrating because we know we can go places like Hull/Cardiff midweek and win - lets just hope we can do it again.

    A point is - ironically - pointless.

Tonight i feel confident i feel confident enough to log on here to go with the flow on the match thread. I fancy us to win

    Team for 2nite

    Weaver
    Halford
    Thatcher
    Paddy
    Sodje

    semedo
    Holland
    Varney
    Ambrose

    Iwellumo
    Lita

    Subs
    Gray, zz,moots,Elliot,Sinclair

    Come on 1-2 away win
  • Worried, the weather getting worse with high winds and rain forecast, I was at Turf Moor a couple of seasons ago and the pitch was terrible so I am concerned as to whether we can master the conditions - like Blackpool?
  • you've raised my main concern about tonight LL. Its a nice calm morning here in London, but very much suspect its going to be different up Burnley this evening. Their pitch has never been the greatest.

Really think this may be the one to give ZZ a rest, as he seems to suffer in these type of conditions.
  • gray and iwelumo up front and tell halford to lump it up - his usal game lol-

Gray to score tonight charlton to win 3-1
  • We'll win or draw tonight in front of 300 addicks giving us enough hope for promotion / playoffs then lose on Saturday in front of nearly 2000 travelling supporters sparking another round of doom and gloom
  • I have gone into pessimism mode - defeat today, staurday and "not so good" friday. Thank god the rest of you have more faith.
  • I just have this funny feeling that in these last nine games we are going to reverse our previous results against the same sides, so I am tipping wins against Burnley, Plymouth, QPR, West Brom, Wolves, draws against Barnsley and Coventry and losses against Ipswich, Southampton - who would take that?

For tonight, I reckon Gray is nailed on to score in a 2-1 win.
  • I'm thinking that I'm going to open a bottle of red wine and watch a movie.
  • I make you about right Alex....

Sodje should be dropped after Saturday, but given the main option is Fortune then might as well stick with him!

    Weaver
    Thatch Paddy Sodje Moo2
    ZZ Holland Semedo Cook ....
    Ambrose
    Gray
  • i just hope the game is on.
burnley isn't the place i'd usually take a day and half off work, do a near 10 hr round drive just for a night on the beer.
i want the football to moan about;-)
  • The weather just isnt a valid excuse for me... we should be good enough to play it on the deck
  • i think it'll be a tough one but we have the ability to win up there IF in the right frame of mind... it's a big pitch up there so plenty of room, would like to see varney and lita involved cos there'll be plenty of space behind the burnley back four we just need someone to make that killer pass or three.......
  • Its funny, I really dont care!!
  • very nervous, having said that I subsequently reckon we'll probably win 2-0 !
  • I predict we'll take 150 there and Pards and Oohahh will take the piss.

Oh and the team will get stuffed.

Andy Gray will get sent off.

You know what as horrible as it sounds thats the closest thing to the truth for me. I hate feeling like this about Charlton.
  • can antone tell me why oohaamortimer always slags our away support. he has got some front he has only been going for the last ten years glory boy
  • He hasn't only been going the last ten years, though why he bangs on about it constantly i really don't understand.

    Mind you, there's a lot i don't understand lately.

  • Me, I am gonna completely forget about tonight's game & settle down & watch the Liverpool game & not give our game a 2nd Thought until about 10.00pm when I'll switch over to Skysports News for the Bad news.

(Note to Medders :- don't text me we are 3-0 down after 20 minutes like you did for Sheff Wed)
  • i agree with you always moaning never happy
  • I'm going out for my sisters 17th birthday tonight, won't be looking at the score at all, just want to completely forget about the game, get home and see we've won, apart from that I want nothing to do with it tonight.
  • [cite]Posted By: Stu of SE7[/cite]I'm going out for my sisters 17th birthday tonight

    Dirty
  • 4-5-1 tonight, Gray as a lone front man, midfield of Cook, Ambrose, Holland, Semedo and Varney.
  • 2-0 defeat, Andy Cole will get both,
  • I'm with WIWLB - not a good feeling for this one. Looked like they had lost all faith in Pards and each other on Sat. And yes, I really do hope I'm wrong!
