I went for a couple of beers in Bartrams after the game last night. I pooped out for a smoke and Matt Holland was walking up from the dressing room and dutifully stopped and signed programs for young fans...even posed for a picture. He was visibly hobbling and I decided to have a chat with him. Ive spoken to Matt on three occasions this season and always found him to be an amiable type of bloke. He looked and sounded really down....I asked him what was going on....he stood and shook his head and said "I really dont know" I said that we had used 34 players so far this season. He said "Really! I didnt realise it was that many...maybe thats the reason" I said..."Is everything ok in the dressing room" He said, "yes its really good, I just dont understand how we can play so well one week and so badly the next" I said, "So whats the answer, we cant carry on like this" He replied...."No we now have to turn this around quickly if we are going to make the playoffs...Ive got an hour's drive home and believe me, Im going to think about it" I said, Matt you and Paddy seem the only people who have any fight in you....he replied " thank you"
So....the captain doesnt understand whats going on....Pards obviously has lost the plot with all these loan signings....surely the permanent players must get a little disillusioned when they see all these players arriving who clearly dont have any cares as to whether we go up or not. Seems like nobody has any clear cut answers.

I was annoyed that poor old luke varney who runs his nuts of chasing every lost cause gets dropped at half time. just going on his work rate he'd be my first choice. What message does that send out. Just like thomas had a stormer the other week then gets dropped for his troubles and replaced by someone who really looks out of his depth.
Our confidence looked really low yesterday.
Yeah what was that with Varney?
I dont want to undermine anything you said here but am I right in thinking you posted after the Blackpool game that you were in the same Hotel as Matty and Ambrose and you found them a bit prima donna. Now hes amiable.
Sorry I am just a bit confused because if there was any of the players who I would not put in the Prima Donna category its Matty.
I met the players at the shirt sponsorship do a couple of years ago and Matty was exactly as you say (very amiable) and so was Mr Ambrose, quite offish. I even tried to take the piss out of Matty buying tractors and he said that was exactly what he had been doing earlier that day. A fine professional. I wish more were like him.
