The fact that the top 2 teams get 50k and the bottom teams gets 501 fans - there needs to be some serious thinking done up there.
I know it's been a long standing issue but I really do think Rangers/Celtic should come into our league at the bottom tier (i.e. League 2). The crowds would probably be bigger...

Cant see it ever happening, I go to see Rangers play regularly, purely from a fans point of view, both clubs, even though I hate sellick with a passion, have a large away following wherever they go in the world. Plus you have to add the nature of the support, ie where sellick are concerned, there would be plenty of clubs in the EPL queuing up to take a pop at their supporters due to the link with IRA support/republicanism, the trouble it would cause week in week out would be to much to handle. Rangers would also attract that attention just becuase they are Scottish, the policing bills would be enormous.
Can only ever see them joining a Euro super league.
I suppose its an equivalent to the Greek league where you have Olympiakos and Panathinakos playing and all the rest are crap.
Wouldnt mind seeing the league cup turned into a UK cup though as a starting point.
(Great minds GH)
Gretna's bubble's gone pop, though - the SPL (which insists on 10,000 all-seater grounds) wouldn't let them use their ground, so they're playing miles away in Motherwell (Carlisle would have been more sensible, boundary issues aside, but for the all-seater rule). The SFL wasn't happy with the state of their ground in Scots Div 1 either, so they may end up being double-relgated to Scots Div 2.
And just to make matters worse - the bloke who's bankrolled them is not in the best of health.
Doubt the Unibond League would have them back...
Gretna are viewed as the 'Chelsea of the North' by some here because of their sugar daddy backing, but as the Inspector said that is all looking very shaky now.
