I will kick off with a couple:
Charlton 1-2 Walsall - fa cup at Selhurst. Top flight Charlton are home bankers against 3rd tier opposition. Score early goal (Mark Stuart?) only to lose in disappointing fashion.
Gillingham 3-2 Charlton - fa cup at Priestfield. Top flight Charlton are away bankers against 3rd tier opposition. Score early goal (30 seconds?) only to lose in disappointing fashion (whilst sitting in a freezing rickety death trap temporary stand)
Charlton 2-3 Spurs - not the worst performance by far, apart from the capitulation after Bents 2nd goal. In the list more for the fact that we were playing so well and through it away. (see also charlton 2-4 spurs in fa cup, Spurs fans calling for Grahams head as we went 2-0 up, only for Docherty to come on and change the game)
Charlton 0-1 Blackburn - Full members cup final, the team just didnt turn up. The fans didnt really turn up either.
Charlton 0-3 Millwall - old first division at Selhurst. They seemed to bring 15 thousand and whipped us - still remember them singing 'sh*t fans, no ground, sh*t fans no ground'
Millwall 2-2 Charlton - going 2-0 up in the 85th minute at the old den and still not winning.
These are just a couple off top of my head. Am sure there are another 80 odd that you guys can think of.

yeah, this game killed me.gordon watson getting mugged twice with the ball trying to run the clock down at their corner flag only for them to run off and score.never been so deflated as then.only saving was that most of their fans had already gone.
Nearly any game after we reached 40 points under curbs in the Prem.
1 - 5 to Rotherham at home. Big turn out for the time cos simonsen had signed and we got stuffed.
Burnley away 7 - 1
40 years of watching Charlton and I cant recall feeling so deflated.
Losing at home to Walsall (again) FA Cup c2003
Losing at home to Leicester FA Cup 2005
Losing 1-0 at home to Fulham in 79/80 the year we went down to division 3. Absolutely no fight or passion Steve Gritt excepted.
Worst game ever seen at The Valley fact
West ham away think it was boxing day a few years ago, lost 5-0.
QPR at home this season. Cannot remember a home game that bad for years. Yes we took some premiership tonkings, but QPR were not even good
As Henry mentioned the 6-1 Leeds game, we were 1 down i think in about 10 seconds.
Grimsby at home 1-3 - Freezing cold Tuesday night, I'd rushed there from work after a massive row with my then-girlfriend earlier in the day and Mendonca absolutely ruined us that night
Stockport at home 1-3 - Brett Angell hat trick. Unbeaten home record my arse
Bolton at home 3-3 - not for the performance, but for the absolute worst refereeing display i have ever seen in my life
What game was it this season at home we had Rob Styles refereeing? Plymouth or Burnley? He was absolutely f*cking terrible!
I think OohAah will have something to say about that away following........
I vaguely remember doing the conga down from the J block after the 6th goal went in, went all the way down and through the gantry!
Did go with a Sunderland friend to see Watford v Sunderland in the 80s. In the Sunderland end obviously.
They lost 8 - 0. After 5 he said that is was just like watching a car crash. You don't want to look but you have to. Lots of angry Mackems around us so didn't talk too loud in my soft southern Jessie accent.
Had a 'meal' in the hospitality portacablns.
Got guibbed and the missus caught food poisoning off the 'seafood' cocktail.
Great night.
Birmingham v Charlton 1-0 1993
Could have tried a bit harder to shut them Brummies up. Odious bunch
Tranmere v Charlton 4-0 1996
Throughly inept performance. Didnt have one shot on target
Charlton 1-2 Walsall Jan 2002
Lower league team? Yeah Pushover no problem......errr
Fulham v Charlton 1-0 Oct 2002
Lazy parformance. Strikers forgot what to do.
Bolton 4-1 Charlton August 2004
Season opener. Shocking.
Wigan 3-0 Charlton Dec 2005
The game that got Kiely a place on the transfer list.
Bolton 4-1 Charlton April 2006
The forty point syndrome was evident here.
Notts Forest 2-0 Charlton 2007.
Absolute pish game
Scunthorpe 1-0 Charlton Feb 2008
Blackpool 5-3 Charlton Feb 2008
Feb this year was a bad month.
However along with Razil, Charlton Charlie etc etc - the match was followed by a night in Blackpool. However I had developed some kind of bird flu type virus & spent the whole night, delirious with fever in some rickety b&b bed, whilst Razil & the boys chased the local females around the bright lights of Blackpool.
Happy days!
Agree with the southend game at the valley, that was terrible.
Charlton 0 2 Bradford november 1996. waddle scored for bradford.
(How could i forget this)
Bradford 2-0 CHarlton April 2001
Truly awful.
Ilic took a lot of stick that day. It weren't just him who was inept that day.
Only highlight was Day falling arse over tit on the touchline
and the post match curry with Randy and Spankie.
Both the 0-0 against villa and the one against WBA season before last.
0-0 home against Birmingham 1992. The match was live on TV. I can't imagine how the commentators made the interesting for the viewers.
0-5 away against West Ham on Boxing day 2000. Freezing cold and poor, poor, poor performance
I would agree with that, the only game I have ever left before the final whistle.
The performance for that game was bad, but i don't remember not enjoying it, all those around me we just having a laugh about it, the 2-0 at home to Brum the week after was far far worse than that defeat.
seeing lisbie destroy our defence scared me!
