Bristol City are like the early to mid 90's Charlton sides under Curbs who were always in the hunt up until March and then fell away badly.
They are an honest bunch of toilers but they have got no class to get them through and you do need more than just being able to grind out results in order to make it to the end of the season in the hunt.
The difference between Bristol City and Stoke is that the latter have actually assembled some decent quality players (Fuller, Lawrence) who can win them matches on their own.
Just seen warnock's interview having a whinge about the officials for a change , he wouldn't feel out of place posting on here, cos it's always the refs fault never the team itself
on that form oggy automatic promotion will be out of reach and the play offs it is and i'd have been happy to take that at the beginning of the season so onwards and upwards
And, OohAah, so would Pards, judging by what he said about his 2 year plan, at the start of the season.
Part of the fun of being a supporter is to experience it as it happens - rather than map it out 10 weeks in advance and fail to live up to unrealistic expections.
But, as others have said, football's a funny old game and you never know how it's going to pan out - whether you're a Sunday league player or an experienced international, you've still got to give it your best shot.
Nothing set in stone yet. And no reason to throw in the towel.
[cite]Posted By: BlackForestReds[/cite]Bear in mind that Bristol were at home, regardless of the fight back they'll view this as two points lost, rather than one gained.
And they're fans are probably saying that they may as well give up on automatic promotion now

They ******** missed it, that fecking ugly woman they got in goal saved about 8 rebounds from the pen as well!
Warnock is gonna blow his top, 95th min. Brilliant.
Think we are now-ie it's down to what others do around us........
Not just that could be the point that pips us to promotion or whatever - because, guess what, haha.....there'a long way to go yet. ;o)
But psychologically, that last gasp equaliser will feel like a last gasp winner to a Bristol City dressing room buzzing with elation.
And they'll go into their Saturday fixture on fire and feeling invincible.
So late, it looks like there wasn't time for Palace to even kick off.

Let's hope we get him soon. . . .
Just like us on Saturday.
We are going to see a lot more of this. And that's a good reason why we've still got a good promotion chance.
Not that we were any good just the one's below us were total crap!
I think we have the players but they need to put one run together like every other club has done.
Blckpool H 4-1 Won
Watford A 1-1 Draw
Stoke C H 1-0 Won
Scunt U A 0-1 Lost
CPalace H 1-0 Won
Sheff W A 0-0 Draw
Watford H 2-2 Draw
Pl 7, W3, D3, L1, F-9 A-5, Pts12
1 defeat in 7 and 3 clean sheets.
And 4 of those games were against teams then in the top 6.
Looks like a decent run in the making here, doesn't it?

A few weeks ago, people were musing that they would finish above us.
We beat Palace at home and Bristol didnt, just shows the swinging and roundabouting that goes on in this league.
