I can't see that Charlton are going to retain his services as a player after this season is done - I think he was on a one year playing/coaching contract and with Youga and Basey coming through at left back I can't see him even getting on the team sheet again this year.
Presumably he'll stay at the club while he completes his UEFA coaching badges, but if he is to be released from his playing contract, or if he finally decides to retire, couldn't the club make a formal presentation on the pitch before the last game? That would give us the chance to say good bye and would be a deserving end not to a great Charlton career but also a great playing career. I make it that he has played around 700 matches for Charlton, Palace, Southend, Aldershot, Derby, West Ham and Watford, not to mention five England caps. Surely if there is one player out there who deserves a send off from the fans it's Sir Chris?
Thoughts anyone?

No doubting it though, Sir Chris is a top man and does deserve a special place in the club's history.
Mainly a coach, but registered as a player just in case - remember when Curbs and Gritt were both still registered?
