Bid to create your very own piece of club history!
A man had a dream: he was running down the The Valley heading towards the Jimmy Seed Stand . Suddenly another man passes the ball into the box, and you are there, shooting it straight into the top right hand corner of the net. This man is not a professional football player, but an every day supporter eager to replicate the scenarios created by his heroes. This man is you, and you could be Living that Dream.
Football Aid provides the experience of a professional footballer for the day: from arriving at the stadium, to pulling on the official kit, running through the tunnel onto the hallowed turf and finally to cap it all actually playing for your Team alongside Club Legends like Simon Webster and Eddie Youlds who've all played in recent years.
We are now two weeks into our auction bidding, with the potential for a bargain to be snapped up for every team, every other day! The 2nd week of closing is certain to showcase some exciting auction action as two of our most popular 90 min positions are set to go under the hammer. Love to score? Then the No 11 Centre Forward positions closing on Fri 15th, have to be for you. Alternatively if you fancy yourself as a midfield general then the No 10 Centre Midfield closing on Wed the 13th is the only way to go.

(not as good as the CL match though. ;-))
It alright GH, they do it at Ibrox
Good question. Primarity for diabetes research, and also a small percentage goes to the hosting club.
However, i found trying to track the imformation pretty vague to be honest, and would be genuinely interested from the money raised through its Field of Dreams holding company, what percentage goes to diabetes research, what percentage to the hosting club's nominated charity, and what percentage towards company expenses etc.
Thanks for your interest. The most up-to-date charity awards for specifically Charlton can be found at http://www.footballaid.com/events/teams/29/charity/charlton-athletic.html. The percentages vary from game to game and from season to season, hence why we do not put an exact amount on our website, but as we are a public charitable orgaisation you will able to find out the exact amount should you wish.
A large amount of our money raised goes towards diabetes research, and the rest (a substantial amount!) is split between the clubs' nominated charity, and a smaller percentage to the leagues nominated charity. We are a non-profitable organisation, and are audited as is every other charity.
As you can imagine, it does take some time after the Football Aid event for us to give the details of the charitable award. Charlton Athletic are heavily supportive of us, and you can find a direct link to our site from their official website at the bottom left hand corner.
Should you have any other questions, I would be only too happy to reply the best that I can. Either leave a message on this site or email me at barbara.davidson@footballaid.com
