I am in two minds about him. He clearly has some technical ability, he generally doesn't hide in games and yet....and yet.....
I'm sure Pards and Parky will be working on him but he needs to sharpen up his decision making. So often he takes the wrong option, usually he dwells too long on the ball before passing it or getting in a shot. He clearly puts defenders on the back foot with his skill on the ball but he doesn't deliver much of the time. He's a bit like Thomas in that regard although I suspect Thomas has the ability to deliver, he just ain't at the races a lot of the time; whereas with Lloyd it may just be down to inexperience/confidence.
I think that with confidence and coaching, Lloyd could improve into a really damaging winger but he's got a way to go yet.

Hope he gets a decent goal along the way as that will help. The Stoke one was a bit scruffy but I would take a 1-0 against Sheff Wed or Watford.
I am afraid that he is one of those players whose brains are in their boots and that his level of improvement will be limited, remember he is not a kid (23 years old I think). I would love him to succeed for us but I just don't see it happening. If the loan window is still open then get a loanee in to at least put pressure on him, or is that where cook plays?.

I like him and before his sending off he was scoring and getting shots on target as well as hurting teams moe with his passing. He seems to have taken a step back but as others havee said wroks hard. tracks back and doesn't hide.
He is 23 but has not played many games a victim of Curbs refusal to loan him out earlier. He should be now have had two or three seasons playing at a lower level to learn. Thankfully the likes of Aswad and Wright will not suffer from this.
With Cook and Thomas to come back Ambrose and Sam will be under pressure which can only be good for the squad.
The tools really are there, he just has to learn to bring them to the table consistently.
Forget the age, he is a late starter, this is his first full season of playing regularly. If he has the confidence, he should be in a groove now and really looking to push on. Next 3-4 games are very important to him and his development because if he continues to drift off, he'll be out the side and back at square one.
as well as playing against a former club, a good % of these type of threads end up with the players scoring, (ambrose and holland spring to mind).
Thomas who? Oh yes....
