Not Digging out Palace Fans but......

edited February 2008 in General Charlton
It would appear a couple of them managed to circumvent our security procedures for Friday by getting hold of some Red Membership cards given to them by (Shamefully I may add) Charlton fans. Initially they tried to purchase their match tickets via the Club Shop (Derr) were then directed to the ticket office where two of them purchased x5 tickets. They then went back to the front of the Club shop then in full view of the staff & security cameras dangled their match tickets for the NW quadrant at the staff & security Cameras & one of them pulled up his top to reveal a Palace shirt (twat). Needless to say the club shop informed the ticket office who informed our Op's Director who has found out their contact details & informed them via phone that they will not make it to their seats Friday. However, I am not quite sure who was the most stupid, the Charlton fans who gave them the Red Member cards or the Palace fan for revealing his shirt after shelling out £100+ for tickets he will now never get to use?

The Charlton fan, I don't expect a lot of that scum but the cafc should get an equivalent ban from the ground as for disorder IMO

    What a Pratt

    Yep Ban the idiot

Lets hope the turntile people take note in case they still try and get in as most look half asleep i could give them a bus ticket rather than my season ticket slip and get in

Can't you sign up to become a Red Member free of charge though with no previous purchase history? If they did this then maybe is wasnt a Charlton fan.

Obviously you know it more than me though Ketters.

i take it we have details of red card number and they should never be allowed to purchase tickets again

Agreed - no way should a Charlton fan give Palaaarse access to home seats.

You have to seperate things out.

A Charlton fan buying a ticket for a good mate to sit with him, who he knows well and who would keep quiet is one thing. I wouldn't do it for this one, but can kind of understand.

Letting groups buy tickets though isn't just stupid, but potentially dangerous as well. I hope he can be traced, and i hope he has his season ticket cancelled for the rest of the season.

On the other hand i do hope they are siting close to me.

You can sign up for the red card scheme free of charge, but due to the Palace game CAFC have suspended sending out any new applications for several weeks now, therefore only existing members/season ticket holders can buy. The new applications, ie those received in the last three weeks or so will be posted out after the Palace game, so any Palace fan who thought that he could just sign up and get the card will do so, but only after the game has taken place.!

As for the CAFC Plonker who lent out his card, he's going to have to explain himself & will probably in all likelihood have his season ticket revoked, bet he'll be well chuffed with his so called Palace mate.

    nice only Ketters
Would love to know who he is

The club should show his face on the big screen so the chant normally saved for the ref could be sung to him

He's Dreading it mate, it's gonna be nothing but trouble for him all day. Police presence will be similar to the one at Palace earlier this season which is more than THREE times what we used to have for Arsenal/West Ham/Spurs in the Premier League.

These idiots are next to me giving it large and I have a go at them, Would I then be barred although I brought my tickets for a Charlton only area and it's the clubs fault they were there in the first place.

Think I would take legal action as been going for over 30 years without any trouble and now under the doctors with the stress of being put in that situation by no fault of my own and my children having witnessed it are now suffering as well. ;o)

If it happened we would boycott the club on mass
