A crowd of 28,095 saw us lose at Sellout against Liverpool, our biggest 'home' crowd since October 1977 when 30,706 turned up for the visit of Spurs.

We've not had a bigger crowd since.

  • and there was definitely more there at sellout park
  • I was in the Arthur Waite for this one on a corporate Jolly...no expense spared eh......I just remember it was packed and the Scouser fans around me didnt stop moaning. I was at the Spurs game and the other big seventies crowd against Wet Spam in the league cup.....speculation said we had about 36,000 for that one....no idea what the "Official" crowd was....not had a bigger crowd since....well....the play off final?....lol pedantic to the end.
  • How many of them were locals and Palarce just there to see the Man U of the day? If we had a 35k or even 40k stadium we'd have filled it for the big games when we were in the shitty Prem.
