  • Shouldn't he be in bed?

How do we know it's not you?
  • Lol! Because he speaks with a passion for the club that I don't have! He got a laptop for Christmas and wants to get involved.
He is going to his first match on his own tomorrow, well with a couple of mates. I'm afraid I have no enthusiasim for tomorrow.
  • Let's hope he knows more about football than his Old Man :-)

What do do you think about Prior being dropped for Darren Ambrose?

Does this mean we can't post the porn that you liked to see?

The wicket keeper posistion has become a bit of a joke. I don't see why Read is out of it. Prior has had a really bad time behind the stumps. England have to decided whether they want a proper keeper or a keeper/batsman. Sadly the former are few and far between these days.
I hear Foster of Essex has improved a lot and matured too. I don't know what Nixon ever did wrong apart from being 38.

Prior has averaged 40 for England with the bat, while Ambrose averages 34 in First Class cricket, so he weakens the tail. If he was better with the gloves than Prior then surely he'd have been picked ahead of Prior and/or he'd have been in a few England squads by now? Looks to me like England aregoing to go through every wicketkeeper in FC cricket until they can find one who can bat and keep wicket consistently at Test level. Sooner or later they may just as well give the job to the best gloveman and be done with it, or select the best batsman who can also keep and put up with the odd dropped catch.

Foster I thoought would have got the call ahead of Ambrose, having played a few Tests.

Read is off playing in the rebel Indian Twenty20 thing and is currently unavailable, and so is Nixon.

Personally I'd go back to Geraint Jones as his keeping is much better than when he first played. He had a bad trot with the bat before he was dropped but he is a better batter than the other contenders except possibly Prior.

If Jones is persona non grata though I agree Foster is probably the next best choice.
