    2 who?
  • Anyone past the first defender. Someone in a red shirt would be nice, but one step at a time eh?!

He's 17 years old - and if he travelled in the squad to Norwich on Boxing Day, then he's highly rated.
  • Went to school with him! Good player, nice lad n all!
  • I would like to see us giving more of the young players a go, perhaps initially on loan.

Grant Basey worked out big time what other talent are we sitting on? We don't have loads of cash but we do have the youth set up (thanks Valley Golders). Some may become valuable salable assets too. I know Chris Dickson was not part of our youth set up but he must be worth at least 10 times the £35K paid now he has been bloodied at the Gills.
  • Nice to see another youngster coming through, would also like to see Christianson given a chance, loaned out or got rid of.
  • Anyone notice what Warnock has done at Palarse?

He has said the youngsters are part of the squad and given them a chance. They have picked up the mantal.
  • I've been saying the lack of a decent youth set-up has been our problem for a long time.

As an example, out of all the players Pardew and Dowie have bought, how many are currently worth even a quarter of their original fee/wages.

And we haven't had any youngsters to sell on either.

Thank God Curbishley bought Baby Bent or we would probably gone pop by now.....
  • would like to see Wagstaff and the like (Dickson, Arter, Wright, A Thomas, Basey) make the bench saturday, with a few of them starting, just the right time to see what they are made of

  • I'm not sure about playing more than 2 untrieds at a time.
Room for 2 on the bench though.

why some of the wankers with experience and costing over £2m can't do it.
