Metro today page 5 about the 3 youngsters who diad in the crash in Charlton.Metro page 23 about the youngster who went missing in Greenwich on Xmas Eve. What must the pain and horror be like for their families and loved ones ? Losing a footie match so f**kin what!!!!!!
Re the previous thread Prem or Chumps well its like life to me i want to go to Charlton and meet mates, few beers and have fun/ be happy.
Sometimes when you reach for the sun you get burned ! Thats life as well. Some years back i had the oppo to take a high paid, high powered job, i took it.I also took with me a good friend. After 2 years she had a brakdown in front of me, it was hoorid. She went sick longterm and left. A little later my wife left me re the affects andstress that this job had on me. I walked out of that job after 3 years. Glad to say my friend (a titled Lady) went back to her family seat insuffolk and is totaly fine now. My wife and i matched things up after a few months. They say "what dosnt kill you makes you stronger" in our case thats true.
I look at the struggle in the Prem much as that job i took. I wanted it bad, but it can and does change you. I now put a big value on working where i am happier and not where the power and huge money is.
If we ever get back to the Prem , we of course cant say " thanks a million but we wanna stay where we are". But being in the Prem is not and never can be the be all and end all of footie. We are not pot hunters and glory boys if you follow CAFC for that you will be dissapointed for DECADES.
Last year the Board f**ked up big time, but they got us into the prem and kept us there. Pardew has made big mistakes this season, but he is a good manager, Curbs was made by CAFC and stayed 2 seasons to long but he is a CAFC legend and no one can argue that.Things change in pro footie but what dosnt is the fans its all about the club regardless ofthe level we play and for me its about mates , laughs and the memories.
Real life ? thats the poor families in first paragraph !

Nice to see you've turned your life around. Long may your good times roll.
CAFC for life!
These are life lessons and show that it's not so much what you strive for that's important - but the quality of your relationships and how you go about things.
Dont get Oooooohaaah started ;-)
My 6 yr old spent the whole time totally glued to it with her mouth wide open, so I must admit I spent most of the time watching her....
Would strongly recommend it.
Watching your kids at the cinema has got to be one of the best things about being a parent...
God! He must be keen ;-)
Remake of the Omega Man with Charlton Heston....
Good film in its own right, but I'd wait until its out on DVD
i thought it was an american version of 28 days later with less people. I admire the fact that it was kept watchable with only one actor (like Castaway) but it was a rubbish storyline (why was he immune?) and definately a "wait till dvd" film.
Omega man is a lot better
Johny Depp as Sweeny Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet St is a must.
