Was this you ????

Found this letter from a very old Croydon Advertiser:

"I feel I must write to complain through your newspaper about an incident that happened to me at Selhurst Park when Charlton played Bradford.

I went to the lavatories in the New Stand and after being in the cubicle a couple of minutes had hot tea and flour thrown over me, followed by two fireworks, one of which landed in my underpants. I quickly threw the firework down the toilet and it exploded on impact, showering the contents of the pan over me. I then heard raucous laughter. I will never be going to Selhurst Park again. It was disgraceful and downright dangerous.

SM, Flaxton Road, Shooters Hill."
