James Walker watch

edited November 2007 in General Charlton
With the focus and expectancy on Chris Dickson today (Yeovil v Jills), the forgotten loanee is, perhaps, James Walker who started up front for Yeovil today.

He's not been exactly setting games on fire, mainly restricted to an occasional start or sub spot.

But today, he's created the opening goal for Yeovil, and after Dickson equalised for Jills, scored a cracking winner right at the death.

Voted Man of the Match. Let's hope it starts happening for him now.

Comments

  • Saw James playing for Yeovil on the box last week when they were soundly whipped by Torquay....to be fair, he didn't see much of the ball and was subbed in the second half. This match experience can only be good for both players.
  • Very encouraging to see two of our loanee strikers doing well especially as we may need them with 3 fit strikers at present. While Dickson's goal was opportunistic rather than great I am happy to have a lucky striker on our books. Walkers goal was fantastic.
  • Opportunist goal - always scored by the right man in the right place at the right time.

That's a talent in itself. You won't score many goals without it.
  • Walker has just put Yeovil one up against Millwall
