Who has been the most under-achieving player for Charlton

  • Sadly i think he still has a year left on his contract, so when Rangers decide not to take up the option on him, he'll be back on our payroll

    ............

Unfortunately I think you are correct.
  • Has to be Rommedahl for me. Came with a big reputation. Seasoned International with lightning pace and technical ability. What a total let down. Never scored a home league goal, bottled out of headers let alone challenges, often failed to run past the full back let alone dribble past him. Complete waste of space and found out by all the Charlton managers he played under.

After him it has to be Redfearn. Then I go back to Maurice Setters, Ray Crawford and Gordon Riddick.
  • Definitely Dennis - almost to the end I still expected him to come out with something great. So frustrating to see him go on international duty and score goals yet do nothing when he came back.
  • I still say Refern...signed because of his experience in midfield and be a leader on the pitch, he didn't deliver.
  • Im so glad someone else remembers Alan Dugdale.

Thats cheered me up no end. I am sure he must be a contender in the worst disciplinary category as I am sure he rarely completed 90 minutes.
