I'm booked into "Hotel Aunt Bristol", so i'll be there tomo with a couple of other chaps.. its £25 on the door.

it came from me calling the ticket office and asking how many we had sold. unless they were just making up random numbers,...which I can do to.

I called up at lunchtime BR. I'm not in the habit of making up random figures. however much I like a good stat!
maybe the bored guy on the end of the blower was telling porkies....
