Peter Grant and Parkinson to swap?

Getting late here and just thought I would let you ponder this in the morning. I wrote it kind of facetiously on my blog earlier but the more I think about it....

Parky would be a good acquisition for Millwall, Norwich or Cheltenham. Personally I would like to avoid any changes at all in the coaching ranks, but how long can Pards and the board keep the obviously ambitious Parkinson happy?

Until Pards gets us promoted and then leaves us for bigger fish, leaving Parky with a Premiership side to manage rather than the likes of Millwall........

I just get a feeling that is the plan.
  • Can see Parkinson trying for the Norwich job, Peter Taylor going to Millwall and Peter 'fae coatbrig' Grant coming to us.

    Confused?

    You will be.

    In the next episode of,

    Coach!

  • I think Vancouver probably has the right line.

If he's ambitious why go to Millwall, Norwich or Cheltenham?

None are teams with the sort of budget and squads that would allow a talented manager to progress. On the other hand at Charlton he is deputy manager at a club with a good chance of getting promoted and that will look much better on his CV than taking over say Millwall and keeping them in the first division before getting sacked in a year because he has no money to spend and they are struggling again.

Millwall and Cheltenham, No, but it is in the papers this morning that Delia is selling up at Norwich and the potential new buyers would have a bit of cash to splash.
  • Maybe, but he's still better off at Charlton than at Norwich.
  • I'd be surprised if he moved on just yet.

He's been a bit of an item with Pards going back a while, as skipper, coach, deputy.

Pards & Parky - double act going places together.
    But not just yet.
