I was thinking about this in the Tody thread but it seems that Pards has many more tactical options this season than last, even within the stock 4-4-2 formation.
Midfield
ZZ plays deeper in the first half and then pushes forward with great attacking support
Reidy can play from deep, wide, just behind the strikers, either wing
Sam/Thomas offer pace down the right/left
Strikers
Big Chris can play as a target man, or to feet.
Varney can offer channel ball options
Tody can play slightly withdrawn behind the main striker making a 4-4-1-1
McLeod offers pace
Defenders
Magic can play out of defence if we are chasing/pressing
Mills offers offensive support and a wicked shot
Moo2's pace and skill could see him playing wing back or overlapping
In my view the options give the squad more of a Premiership feel to it and there is a certain irony about that.
