as always there were several players in the summer that we were linked with but ended up elsewhere, followed by the inevitable "that's another one we've missed out on"

I can only remember Ben Sahar - on loan at QPR from Chelsea, and I think it is fair to say that trees in west London have remained safely in the ground.

Anyone remember any others we missed?

yeah Eastwood was a big one!!

Eastwood 4 goals in 6 starts.

Would have preferred him to Mcleod for the same money and thats before hindsight.

I still want to see Mcleod do well and will support him in a Charlton shirt (before I get lynched)

McCleod strikes me as one for the future, hopefully with us, once he gets going I can see him being a right handful.

McCleod is his own worst enemy though because he acts like Billy Big Spuds. He looks confident but when he's on the pitch he looks a bit lost. Hopefully the reserves will get a few games and he can get some confidence

I also think he will come good and have a feeling it will be after Christmas when some teams are getting tired he will be an absolute bundle of energy and score for fun the goals that take us back to the promised land
