only 4 points from top spot.....
only 4 points from the relegation spots.....
obviously too early to judge yet but we've had 5 games against teams(imo) that wont really be making great headway in the chase for promotion
If you are averaging 2 pts a game then you are heading for 92 points over the season and almost certainly promotion and the most likely Champions.
So far 8 pts from 5 games = 1.6
If we had beaten Colchester then it would have been 10 pts from 5 games so = 2 pts per game.
Wins over Norwich and Leicester will make it 14 pts from 7 games = 2 pts per game so we will be back on target IF we can win our home games.
I can't see Palace or Wednesday doing much but Stoke, Colchester and Scunthorpe could all be challenging for a play-off place IMHO and the first two both have very good home records.
[cite]Posted By: Weegie Addick[/cite]It's a funny old division when you can go up two places in the top 10 after a draw - I was trying to find us in the middle of the table!
Good point,Weegie.
On Saturday down here in Oggyland, Plymouth Argyle were 2-0 up with 20 mins left and managed to snatch a draw from the jaws of victory. If Argyle had won they'd presumably have been on the same points and goal difference as Charlton and in the top 6. Instead this morning they lie 16th.
and we havn't even played well yet. Things are only going to get better in my opinion. If we can keep a clean sheet someone is going to take a pasting soon.

Interesting that in 99/00 we had 12 points compared to our 8 now, yet were only in 7th place. In 97/98, we had a point less with 7, yet were right down in 15th place... What it all means, feck knows ;-)

In 99/00 I recall we were playing catch up as our game at Crewe was cancelled and I think we missed another game due to international call ups which other clubs didn't. Hence only being 7th.
And wasn't that defeat the game at Fulham when we were crap and Curbs kept them out on the pitch to give them a bollocking in front of the away end?

However, it's always nice to see Palarse near the bottom.
