How was the old head this morning Mascot? Bent's miss was really quite embarrassing. I felt quite sorry for the poor bloke. Of course the Arsenal fans immediatley started to sing 'what a waste of money". I was watching it live on Austar. He was clean through on goal in a central position with just the keeper to beat. He got his stride all wrong and completely skuffed his right foot shot. The ball rolled off weakly about ten yards wide of the right post. A few more like that and he will hopefully be on his way back home where he belongs to rebuild his confidence.
Of course not, but no-one but us particularly gives a toss if a Charlton player does that. Spurs fans are also known for being distinctly less patient than we are.

But it wasn't his right foot was it? The ball fell to his left foot & he mishit it completely. If he could of got it onto his right foot I'm sure he would have buried it. He has always been a bit too one footed IMHO.

Been injured has he not only scuffed one shot
But yeah come back

Of course, he coverted *every* chance in a red shirt, and made no embarrassing howlers at all, eh?
But what Darren Bent will do is always get himself into goalscoring positions. The law of averages will ensure you convert a decent ratio of chances.
If he gets the games, expect Darren Bent to be up among the leading Premiership goalscorers.
