The Charity match/Demelza

What happened to the money, has it been handed over?

If not when will this be? It would be good if it could take place on the pitch before a home game.

  • No, I've been trying to get a hold of AFKA for a few days. His phone is disconnected and no one seems to know where he is. Not even his mum, who said she had been by Chez Bartram last night and there was no answer. Not a trace...
  • he was heading to rio last i heard

It has all gone to Demelza, the vast majority automatically when donated. £200 was kept back for MacMillan at a prize doner's request.

Demelza want to do a dummy cheque presentation at the Norwich game, but can't guarantee i'll be there, so may have to put that back a game. Will let everyone know when i have more details.

Sounds good, AFKA. May I just ask, what happened to the ZZ pic for auction on e-Bay - might be worth a bob or two now that he's back with us?

ZZ photo, amongst other items, were held back for a later date as we had simply too many prizes and i wanted everything to reach full value. Will do something with those prizes later in the year.
  • I know we agreed to hold it back at the time - the thought was to maybe put it on e-Bay to get some Chinese interest, wasn't it? Has to be worth a try?
  • there was a nice article about the game in the recent Demelza magazine that I received in the post. Very complimentary. Also suggested something about a budding future England manager ....
  • can you copy the article large?

i think its a good idea for the ZZ pic to go on e-bay. would get large interest from the chinese community.
  • Here's the current newsletter, with the piece about our charity day. First time I've seen it, so good to see one of my photos published too :-)

  • I've still got a shed load of CD's that I said I'd auction off - anyone have any ideas as to how I'd go about it - Ebay?

    Couldnt agree more ;-)

Shame no one said - I'd have given them the full quality image, rather than the web quality one if I'd known. Would of looked much better on the printed version :-(
