Fantastic, wasn't it? Great to see how much it meant. With so many new players these things can easily get overlooked, but clearly Pardew hammered it home. He even managed a sly dig at that orange tw*t by singling out Richard Murray for praise at this of al games.

Got to say that yesterday meant more then just three point to me, i think that it was a little bit of a bench mark as we had to be up for the derby game and prove that we are bookies favorites. (wasn't best footy match)
The player did there job and to show that at the end of the game maybe show they are't hear for the pay check?!!
Can't imagine Faye, Traore, Hasselbank, M Bent and the like reacting like that, it was great to see totally made the day for me or at least was the icing on the cake. Danny Mills showed more passion in one game than all those tossers did in one whole season. Think we've got a great group, and Ambrose takes a lot of stick but I really believe he feels it too, he's a good lad.
Well said Nug, all round. So good to be shot of those mercinaries, and to have a squad in whom it appears we can believe - including Ambrose. We'd all like to see more sometimes, but against Wednesday when the chips were well & truly down, he was the only player who really took the game to them, even if the end product wasn't quite there. Yesterday, after a quiet first half, he also grew into it and appeared to get wrapped up in the collective spirit in his own way. He'll score a few this season too. We don't always need a scapegoat.

We don't always need a scapegoat. Let's get behind ALL our lads!
Yesterday's celebrations showed they're ALL behind US!
Glad someone else has said that about Ambrose. I know he disappears at times but has been putting himself about a bit more this season (leave it!) and I think he may just come good if he keeps his place.
And yes, how refreshing to have a team that look like they do actually care whether Charlton win or lose and not how well they peronally played or how it'll affect their career. The mercenary tossers already mentioned above can go f*ck themselves, give me Big Chris over that lot any day. (Big Chris who is actually a far better footballer than I'd originally given him credit for).
think big chris was a highlight, as was paddy mac who really did put his body on the line for his club. Brilliant stuff.
cant leave it there without a dothed cap to Mills, weaver powelly and sharon ambrose, sharon espesh has done well, he put himself about on satdee! sooper day
I couldn't see any of that celebration/shirt throwing stuff, cos I had someone fat standing on the wall with his bum crack out and rolls of fat on display!
I read this morning that pards got a clap from the palace fans too?
Millsy looked a bit lost in the 30 minutes of the first half I saw, but looked quality second half, the heads on the line clearance at the end was Danny at his best
Sounds unlikely I know, with him standing about 15 yards away, but I think Danny might not have realised that first song was his (tricky lyrics too!!). As AFKA mentioned, he was possibly just so switched on for the k.o. that he didn't pick up on it. He certainly got the message by the end though, as if he'd never been away. That long throw could be useful at times too - that shirt flew way over my head. Bodies and - in his case - heads in the way around the edge of the box were as much a part of the win as Weaver's fine saves and Toddy's wonderful touch. Did anyone else fear his prod might just get hoofed off the line?

I did and that was just watching the highlights knowing it had gone in...a bit touch and go!!!
Super result, even better comments from Reidy and Pards on the telly after. As gutted as I was not being there, Im still very glad I didn't line that orange cock's pocket.

bit annoyed that we missed the first 15 mins.
sung his name for about ten minutes just before KO and the bugger never waved. Think he was 'in the zone' LOL
The way he played the first 1/2hr he looked like he'd never played a game before. Turned it around a bit 2nd half.
