mills had a fairystory of a second debut, summed up by leading with his head to a challenge from a palace player's boot in the dying moments - didn't think twice, just put his body on the line for the points - can we see Faye, Romm, or JFH, or Marcus doing the same in that situation? top class after the game as well.

I have been firat to criticise McCarthy fair dues he was first class yesterday,have my reservations regarding semedo in midfield as he gets caught in posession too much.But Racon is pure class.

Yeah credit to Paddy, played like a real centre back yesterday, there was some great kamikaze defending especially in that scramble in the first half bodies flying everywhere just to get in the way of the ball, great stuff to see.Bet Mills is eager to make that move permanent now, was suprised myself how much of a reception he got but he clearly loved it.

Yep, McCarthy did just what we needed our centre backs to do yesterday - block anything resulting from the knock-downs. This is just the type of game against moderate home teams that we need to grind out wins from, and before we could begin to add a bit of quality, we needed to build a platform. He was a big part of that.
