Deal not yet completed - expected tomorrow morning.
This is a strange outcome. I guess Wigan will pick up his wages bill but I'd have thought we would have preferred to have sold him outright. I am assuming that we tried but they wouldn't come up with enough cash?
great news. like many i would have wanted a bit of cash but he's probably one of our highest earners (can't guess how much...too much) and along with faye will save us 2 wage packets.
I think he would have had a good season with us, but glad to get a big earner (over £20k per week I beleive) off our books, a pity we couldn't get a fee though.

Now it would explain why he was working "hard" over the last few games.

You couldn't make it up
I posted that a while ago - cynical but clearly true.
Lets hope this isnt what Wigan are basing the loan on, if it is boy are they in for a shock
You can sometimes get a cash payment for a loan deal, but in this case I reckon getting Bent off the wage bill is sufficient.
We're now in the weird situation of wanting him to do well.....

What are the odds on Wigan going down?
