the Seb mosaic is a truly beautiful tribute. There’s very few fans that reach the threshold for such recognition but this along with the circumstance really does feel one of them. From past experience there’s a chance some individuals might start fundraisers etc, but something meaningful like this needs proper ownership, organisation and governance etc.
I’ve no doubt the money would easily be raised. Could you look into and consider please?

Might just be me, but do others think something like this would be fitting?30

Yeah he deserves a tribute that's for sure. Even those who didn't know him would of seen him at some point in their Charlton supporting life.
He, like Seb, for many was an ever present and almost like family when travelling with this club.5 -
100% yes and would like to contribute5

Absolutely. Something similar to the Seb mosaic would be great.1

I don't think you'd find many people who would say no.AFKABartram said:Might just be me, but do others think something like this would be fitting?1 -
I think this is a great idea, but we maybe need to let a little time pass for the friends and family to grieve and deal with such a sad loss. But I’ll certainly pledge, £500, to get things started at the appropriate time.22

I can only speak as I find and I would agree that there should be a fundraiser in memory of Norman and recognition of his support home and away at show at the football club for younger generations to witness as per Seb Lewis7

I agree completely about giving time mate, just felt it might be wise if some body / group were publicly clear with ‘don’t worry, we’ll take something on’ to head off 1,2,3 individuals (woth good intentions) going off half cocked etc, if there was general consensus that something felt appropriate.Rob7Lee said:I think this is a great idea, but we maybe need to let a little time pass for the friends and family to grieve and deal with such a sad loss. That’s a very kind gesture 👏3 -

I'm happy to contribute to this, very thoughtful and touching idea0

Give us a bit of time, please. Club haven’t even released the name yet so neither have we. Once the time is right we will absolutely do so.If anyone on here has a family contact for Norm, could you DM me please?6

just an idea but it would be nice if somehow the headphones motif could be included in a future kit design & a portion of the sales used to raise funds for an appropriate charity
players come & go but it's fans like Norm that define a club10 -
Would definitely contribute. Seb and him were the two most universally recognisable fans we have had in my lifetime I reckon. Always constant at games.5

Just a thought, but still plenty of bricks on the Charlton station railway bridge...0

I could ask the artist to add something to the mural on the railway bridge if people, and in particular his family, feel it would be appropriate but maybe lets take a few days or weeks before deciding.SteveACS said:Just a thought, but still plenty of bricks on the Charlton station railway bridge...10 -
I understand. It's just something that can be done quickly, and cheaply. Seb's already there. It would be nice for Norman to be there too.Henry Irving said:

Kind of like the honours board. For supporters.1 -

The awful circumstances do not warrant anybody at all to say that we shouldn’t mark Norm’s passing in a special and heartfelt way.
It was the anniversary of the back to the Valley game against the same opponents, there had been respect shown to Billy Bonds and Marvin Hinton, the game was in full flow when the tragic incident happened, and above all it was our brother Norm.
There can hardly be a Charlton fan who didn’t know or wasn’t fond of Norm.
I cried when the reality of Covid punched us all with the passing of Seb, and I have cried yesterday and today. Seb and Norm were fans just like the rest of us, but not like the rest of us, they were the kind of comforting special seemingly eternal fixtures for us like a familiar iconic landmark, they were brothers and our brothers.
We often hear the phrase ‘the fans’. A phrase that covers the generality of all of us, but we ‘the fans’ also know the individuality of those we go to football with.
I don’t know where the memorial to Norm is, but I want to take a tribute there on Tuesday, I want us the fans to produce an organic reaction in the twelfth minute, and I would like to think the club will do a minutes silence, not applause, before the game.
There should certainly be some kind of memorial, probably near Seb’s mosaic, so those two brothers are reunited, and stand forever united with all of us.

5 December 1992, Walsh ⚽️
6 December 2025, Norm 🖤
CAST will absolutely pick up and work with the club / others on a fitting memorial in time, and any fundraising needed around this, as we did in helping to bring the Seb mosaic to fruition. It’s just all a bit too raw for everyone right now.12 -

For me, and no doubt many others, this isn't even a debate.0

Personally I'd prefer something within the confines of the ground, as it'd mean the risk of it getting vandalised should be lower. But I agree it's something that needs a bit of time to think about.Henry Irving said:
