Kiely hit by steak and kidney pie

Dean Kiley was an excellent guest at the CAST AGM on Thursday. Here is a write-up of the Q&A:

Very good. Some good questions and answers there. Thanks all.
Just one thing though - did nobody ask about Andy Todd?
  • A great write up. Thanks

Don't think Deano appreciated the question from 'Sam' given the number of times he mentioned his name!

Dean gave a full and frank answer to the Andy Todd question but he preferred to err on the side of discretion when it came to recording it in writing.

I think he rather enjoyed putting Sam straight on the subject of his kicking

Hopefully i didnt upset Deano! :l:lol:

My overarching memories of getting into Charlton and football as an 8 year old, was invariably most (if not all) of Deano's goalkicks going straight out for a throw - usually right by where we sat in the East Stand.

Glad there was a reason for it, although would love to know his thoughts on the current trend of actively aiming to kick it out of play (usually from KO) to gain ground from the off.

    A great guest, a fantastic Q&A too

That’s a shame. That’s the main thing I was hoping to read about.

If I was kind I’d suggest you look up the original “Kiely Q&A” thread. You might find what you’re looking for but please don’t tell everyone 🤫
