Worst since the Leeds game in recent memory then
Remember the 2-5 defeat against Sheff Utd in Pardew's last game

We were 0-4 down at HT against Notts County in 2011/12, and that ended up 2-4

Cant forget the 6-0 @ Portman Road a couple of years ago either
  • That leeds game was horrendous. Not just cos of the score line and our pathetic performance but the fact it was against those knob heads (champions of europe ffs) who then because of that result eased their relegation worries.

Had somehow forgotten about the Ipswich game.

The only thing I chose to remember about the Leeds game is the conga. That has to be on the list surely?

forgot about that. yeah that was a slight highlight.
  • That Ipswich game was horrific. As was today's game. But since I started following Charlton, we've been quite good at not being completely destroyed, even in games where we're hopelessly outplayed.

    Deliciously stubborn.

Have we ever been losing by four goals at half time in a home league match? I asked ChatGPT and it said “no” but I’m not sure it can always be trusted!

I hated that Leeds team. They were dirty, unlikeable bastards. Getting thrashed was one of the worst days of my young teenage life.

'Celebrated' my 18th down Brighton. Also went to the 7-1 up Burnley.

Have we ever, and I mean ever, conceded five first half goals at The Valley?

Didnt we lost to Southampton 6-2 in 1976 ?

Wow, I guess my mind has blocked that one out. Trauma protection.

got a feeling they gave money back to those that went to those games. and possibly from the players themselves?.. probably got that wrong.

wonder if the same will be applied for today?

Think we were 0-4 down after about 20 mins v Notts County at home in 2012. Powell made subs and we lost 2-4. Powell has refused to speak about the match ever since.

Apart from 7-1 away v Luton, today’s as bad as it can get. Then as SAF would say, football, bloody hell!

Could do without drunk Saints fans on the train (to Luton 😱) mind you. Wouldn’t be a good look if I lamped one of them before I get off at Greenwich, would it? I’m stone cold sober of course. And if you believe that…

I think so, but then there have been good days, like when we beat Leeds 6-1 in the Premier League.

Was there too. Friday night game I think. Mick Channon was in their team that night.
