  • Got my 3 - I hope I'm sat behind the guy who, back in February, obviously had a good time beforehand, fell asleep before the match started woke up at half time, realised he wasn't in bed and left.
    Memories!

The only thing that would make that funnier is if you then woke up and realised you were in bed

When we went in Jan me and my boy went I. The London & North Western Wetherspoons in New St station. It’s much more modern than your normal Wetherspoons. There were mainly Ipswich in there that day as they were at Villa, but there is no Villa at home this time. Then I’d Uber it to the ground from there.

Wetherspoons New Street, or The Shakespeare outside.

Digbeth is great if not wearing colours.

Bizarrely still looking forward to this one. A decent number of tickets remaining for anyone wanting to make a last minute (ish) dash up

Looking forward to this one...... driving over to pick up my partners son (he's at Uni in Brum...... and he's Palace....... yes, I know, I know, I've tried to cure him but I think he'll be a lifelong Nigel)..... we'll be training into New St from the Uni so will suggest the Spoons to him....... he's booked a curry house for after which has been recommended by his Brum-based mates.
Hoping for a re-boot of Northampton away...... well why not!

I'm looking forward to the Birmingham Christmas market. I think I'll need a few glühweins to numb myself before the game  :D

Not selling this out is pretty poor. Fans need to stick with the team through thick and thin

On the whole our away support is excellent.

Near to Christmas and having been there a lot of times over the years would be a consideration to not go.

Christmas you're 100% right but we've played at St Andrews twice in the last decade, one of which was without crowds. I'm surprised we didn't sell out but there's still a decent number of us going though so not digging anyone out

Or not have a driveable car when you get back to it after the game

Only reason why it bugs me is because we make a fuss when things don't go our way with tickets, but then stuff like this happens.

A few weekends ago we were moaning we didn't get the full 2.7k against Coventry and acting hard done by, a few match weeks later and we can't even sell out 2k on a 4 hour round trip.

Perhaps people don't want to go to Birmingham.

Ona previous visit to Birmingham they attacked us exiting the ground and the police just watched and did absolutely nothing.

We then had a double decker bus lined up to take us to Birmingham International Train Station (I think) and they attacked us on that as well.

Last time I went they were all coming over the fences/hoardings on to the pitch to get at us.

    I won't be rushing back.

Which year was that? I know you'll have been a lot.

The only trouble I've come close to was some oiks hiding behind railway bridges in 2013 or 14. I wasn't there in '98 when I know coaches got bricked.

So they shouldn't moan when they can't go to Coventry then

You don't have to spend £200+ to do Birmingham away. One of the easiest cities to get a cheap train to

'98 was pretty bad afterwards as we'd cost them the playoffs. That was when they bussed us directly to Brum International.

In '96 we won 4 3 there on the telly and I think it was a Junior Reds coach that got attacked.

It was also a good job we rolled over on the last day in '93 to keep them up or you shudder to think what it'd have been like afterwards.
