Impressed by Swansea thought Eom and Galbraith were good. We lacked our normal intensity and the injuries didn’t help. We didn’t lose and Charlie scored so could have been worse still a cracking start to the season1

I can see where you're coming from but outside of Kelman's finish (and Gillesphey's header that drew a great save) there was very little to get excited/enthusiastic about on the pitch today.Braziliance said:Day to forget. Slow and leggy performance, thought Swansea showed us up a bit with their quality in the middle, fortunately our strength is restricting teams chances so they couldn't capitalise.
Thought our home support was poor. Valley almost full, playing against a good side and we are hovering around the play-offs, could barely string a chant together. Fans showing more enthusiasm at getting out of the stadium than backing the team inside.
Understand I'll get daggers for that, but I think the team deserve more support after the last year. We could still be slumming it in League 1, be nice to see us be vocal.
Ref was sh*te, nothing new there. Miles dragged down twice and he missed it both times.
Take the point, move on, put it right Vs West Brom where really, we need a result. A point closer to consolidating our Championship status 👍🏻
I know there's an argument that fans "should" keep the levels up no matter what, and try and inspire the players to raise their game, but it goes both ways. It was all a bit muddled and confused, I'd not blame anyone who didn't know what exactly we're actually meant to be cheering (today specifically.)
.Have you checked down the back of the sofa? Im always finding stuff in mine.

Still can't get over the fact there isn't a single player in that red box blocking a pass from a CB into their striker5 -
I know I am going to get some grief for this opinion but we are a better side with Burke in the lineup than Ramsey. We all fawn over Ramsey’s late sliding tackles but a lot of times he only needs to do that because he is out of position in the first place. Burke may not be elite but he is consistent and doesn’t make a lot of mistakes. If we lose him for a period of time, it is going to hurt. Also, I dont understand jones putting T C at wingback. It doesn’t suit his play. I know Apter has historically played in the right but he is left footed. I would rather he start at lwb and keep TC up front0

Just seen the highlights on ITV. Didnt realise our goal was just 20 seconds into the 2nd half. I wonder how many of the "must have a pint at half time" brigade missed our goal 😂😂😂😂😂4

Swansea vlog (5:35 to 6:25) - either they stumbled into it OR it's deliberate in their build up to pull Coventry into the left wing back position and that’s how all the space ended up vacated in the middle.
You get this weird situation where TC is meant to be filling in for Conor Coventry momentarily. And that turned out to be killer. You'd have hoped Doc would've sensed the danger through the middle and stepped in but not the case.

Tuned in at 10pm here to realise the clocks went back last Sunday. Struggled to stay awake at half time, wasn't much to be excited about, it was the hope that kept me up watching.
It was a strange performance from us, we just seemed flat, and I thought we were evenly matched, Swansea didn't perform much better, however they were the better team overall and although they had more possession, we wasn't seriously threatened.
With the swans manger a protege of NJ's, it's not too surprising.
As others have said, due to our showing, it's a point gained.
Really pleased for Charlie to get off the mark. And it was good to see the reaction to him from the fans, who have been supportive of his performances despite him not scoring.
I also think we will enter a grinding period of the season now, teams have enough data on us now to put together a plan to nullify us, and expose our weaknesses.
Squads that have been built with far greater budgets, and with championship experience, will have the extra bit of quality to hurt us. We need to be solid and gutsy, utilising the whole squad.
I do wonder why Costello hasn't had many minutes, he was brought in on a 4 year contract, undisclosed, so I assume some money parted hands with Blackburn, so NJ must of been a big fan of his. He stated when he signed him he'd been looking at him for quite some time. I wonder if he doesn't train very well? We can only guess.
Another difficult game Tuesday (they all are really, except Portsmouth away!) and I hope for a more energised performance.
UTA!

It's still a great start to the season, but I am concerned that Jones may have asked too much from his regulars, who have looked drained for the past couple of games, and are now picking up injuries.
It's now a big ask for players such as Costello or Fullah or Anderson to come in and start performing, optimally, straight away.
Our success has been built upon "the press" and our superior fitness, and that was clearly missing yesterday.
Big decisions will now be required from Jones and will be a real test of his management.
A reshuffle is required and that could involve 3 or 4 changes.2 -
Two soft tissue injuries…maybe look at the warm up ?0
-
Another point in the bag but tbh we got away with one today but that's football, all in all I'm happy and think if we take of the blinklers without a switch up in style or a few better players we are a mid table side, despite our early rise and that's not something to be ashamed of what we do is effective but to progress it needs big investment and more quality, enjoying being in the thick of this league anyway it's a far cry from rubbish we had to endure before respect to the whole club really now it's Time to sleep I'm way too drunk 🤣1

Agree with what you say, there's always an argument that players play should raise the fans and it works together, I just feel we owe them some serious vocal backing even when we look second best, as we could have been against Port Vale today or whoever if it wasn't for their heroics for 6 months.
Wasn't the best weather either which plays a part. Hopefully it picks it up against West Brom and we can forget about this performance. Point will do.2 -

Season is over.
Injuries have started to hit and our inevitable decline towards certain relegation has begun.
Defeats to WBA and a resurgent Wrexham will reveal our flaws and herald the return of the "Jones out" calls.
Anyone who disagrees is a happy clapper willing to be taken in by spin and a new scoreboard.
Meanwhile, as to the game.
Swansea are good, they played at higher speed than any other team I've seen in the Championship this season. Very fluid but their shooting and final ball were poor.
The two sides cancelled each other out first half but after what should have been a stepping stone of an early goal in the 2nd half we sat too deep, allowing Swansea to play.
In part that was Swans pushing forward looking for an equaliser, part losing two defenders and part losing the option of the out ball to Campbell to stretch the opposition.
Delighted for Kelman. "Once you score on you'll score more" as the old song goes.
A point isn't a disaster but some of our weaknesses were exposed.7 -
That was a very tough watch, for a home game we had little control.
Cambell is not a wing back.0 -
Bloke sitting next to me today in the NU was over from Oz for the game, anyone from on here?0

Strange game. Firstly I'll give full credit to Swansea, they were by far the best team I've seen at The Valley this season and if anything we might have gone into the game underestimating them a little, we play better when we're the underdogs and we went into the game expecting an easy win, which it was anything but! They had clearly done their homework on Carey as he had 2 on him at all times and pretty much neutralised him from the go, was a strangely quiet game from Bree too but all in all I just think Swansea were a very well organised team, if anything you could see Nathan Jones's influence on their boss in how they setup the game and it definitely worked. It really nulled the Valley atmosphere which just felt really flat throughout most of the game yesterday, as I said it was a strange one.
The 2 injuries in 2 minutes situation worried me a lot, because in the 2nd half we were so exposed at the back and felt like they were a constant threat. But I feel like we seem to have luck on our side this season, and got away with a few questionable fouls along with them missing some absolute sitters! A draw feels the right result for us, but I'm sure there's going to be quite a few Swansea fans thinking they should be walking away with all 3 points after that though.
My final thought has to go to Charlie Kelman though. I'm SO glad he's finally managed to bag a goal that absolutely didn't look easy to finish at all, if anything it screamed of a Sniffer Dog's kind of goal with how he reacted to the error from the defender and just absolutely whacked it! Godden will be proud of it. But I also loved how the entire team celebrated him with the pat on the back, it shows just how good the bond is in the squad and it was echoed in the ground too for sure, seeing him having a little moment with The Covered End quickly afterwards certainly brought a big smile to my face, and was absolutely the best part of the game for sure.
On to Tuesday, hopefully we won't have a makeshift backline with 2 injuries but I have faith that we'll be ok9 -
Swansea have extended highlights up on YouTube. Our page only ever seems to post the 2-minute version.3

So who else learned yesterday that halftime substitutions don't count towards the three substitution opportunities each team has? I'm owning up.11
-
For a bit of perspective . We wasn’t as good as we have been, they were probably a bit better than they have been, we had two important injuries to how we play and had to reorganise, and didn’t really do it that well to begin with. With all of our issues on the day we ended with a point and a goal from Kelman. We haven’t just become shit and are going to suddenly sink without a trace after one below par performance. Maybe some fans need to get a grip, we are in the championship and not league 1, it’s harder! And we are competing really well. Could people imagine the reaction if we’d actually lost the game.3

Definately take a point in the north upper we have some seriously delusional fans, nearly booing that we didn’t win ffs. It’s a point towards championship football next year ffs6

Just watched the 15 min highlight package .. what was Leaburn doing nearly scored an own goal and kept a shot in that was going wide which neatly cost us very late on… at the time it looked like Jones

Swansea are the best side we have played this season.Ok it did not help losing 2 defenders in the first half, but in my opinion, their midfield gave us a lesson .We base our midfield play on hard work conceding possession and basically playing on the break. We just dont have that individual player who can put his foot on the ball and dictate play.Maybe its time to give Knibbs,or JRC a run and see what they can do.I also think Anderson should be on the bench,we could have really done with him yesterday when we where under the cosh. All in all delighted with the point,we will face many good sides this season, its what we are in the championship for,and I am loving it.3

Probably one of the best games I have seen at the valley for a while in terms of two teams going for it tooth and nail for the full 90+mins. A proper end to end battle without too many clear cut chances and at the end I was more entertained than disappointed about not getting a win.2

Agree with this comment by @thickandthin. Maybe that is our progression for next season or even January? BUT we should not lose our hard work ethic. Maybe an Eom or Galbraith type character will be our obvious improvement for next season?0 -
Most of the time yes, but near the end Leaburn was absolutely cleaned out, 5 yards from where he was. Terry Smith went off on one about it. On behalf of all of us watching at home😀Leuth said:
